Let them age naturally, coloration is a sign of life. You did say any feedback appreciated. If you really want colored pipes then JetHot ceramic coating seems to be the way to go. |

Or you can clean them up in about five minutes using #600 wet or dry emory cloth. Do it wet. There is also a product called Blue Job. It is rather expensive, but it works. I use the emory cloth and Blue Job. Looks nice. To me at least:-) Nothing looks quite like burnished stainless. |

Scotchbrite pad and Nev-R-Dull just make sure you use the never dull with cool pipes. If they are hot they will get an odd film that won't buff off. Then just buff well VHT hightemp exhaust paint can be used, and I have seen some bikes (non Buells) that have been done that way with no problem, just use the highest temp you can find. |

Do a search. This topic was discussed not too long ago. All types of ideas thrown out there. |

I have a friend that does ceramic coatings and does really good work. I want to get the pipe on my XB12R done, but when I laid mine down I scraped the pipe. So now I'm waiting to get an aftermarket header pipe to get it coated. I wish I had a good example to show. He can do the high temp ceramic coatings in a few different colors. The most popular is the Cerma-krome and the midnight satin. the Cerma-krome polishes out real nice and the midnight satin is suppose to lower header temps a lot. Check it out www.mpcoatings.com. |

Jet Hot...I'm getting mine done in black (should ship back today!), but they also do red and blue in addition to their silver chrome. Everyone there that I've dealt with has been great. |
