I'm pushing 6 weeks waiting for a primary cover, just found out it's going to be another 6 weeks, fack! I'm not going to do the cheap fix, cause I want to sell it in mint condition. Are a lot of the factory parts on back order now?

Magnesium tone or black? The black one should be available without much of a wait, but the magnesium one has been out of production for a few years so they are made to order, and sometimes require long waits.

Have you checked on ebay?

Frick'n magnesium. Already paid for, so I haven't looked lately. Haven't rode it in months, so just going to wait it out I guess.

The head of parts for HD in the UK came on the UK Buell forum to tell us that they would be supporting parts from 10 years from the date the last new Buell is sold and that we hadn't reached that date as there were a couple of brand new bikes still unsold in Europe.

The guy seemed genuine and had a good attitude. However, people's experiences when ordering parts have proven different.

I've been told a bolt in the muffler mount is no longer available, and this is what the German guy got back from Chicago Harley about his order:

Obsolete items removed from the order:
L0501.02A8C (engine front mount)
M1662.1ANMZ (front fender sunset orange)
M2600.1ADMZ (windshield sunset orange)
M2647.1ANMZ (spoiler RHS sunset orange)
M2648.1ANMZ (spoiler LHS sunset orangs
N0102.02A8 (clutch lever silver w/o bolt)
N0202.02A8 (brake lever silver w/o bolt)

Here is a list of the price changes (including discount) changed on the order:
1x N0104.02A8 (from $14.00 to $81.28) (clutch lever assembly)
3x N0307.1ADA (from $40.08 to $117.60) (cable assembly, throttle open)
3x N0308.1ADA (from $50.40 to $117.60) (cable assembly. throttle close)

Fair enough the body parts, but the engine mount on an XB is a service part.
Prices are getting jacked up too.

What it suggests is that there are things going on at a high level that even the head of parts in the UK isn't aware of. He's been strangely silent since these new part ordering issues have been brought up.

Front and rear engine isolators at American Sport Bike are around $80 and $60.

By them way, my order is at Chicago Harley, but I did have the shortage confirmed by one of our supporters so I guess it is not their fault.

There is a "company" in the UK that is re-manufacturing the front isolator, there is a post or two around here somewhere.

Last 3 primary covers I've ordered have come in 3 days.

Body parts are super slow. Been waiting 8 weeks for a Kickash screen. Waited about the same for a Firebolt Fairing. All the rest - except maybe electrical connectors have been about normal.

The front engine mount listed for both the '06 and '09 is L1501.02A8. Do you know what year and model these parts are for?
