And this is what I found : )

Will the warranty cover this bracket? OR I can just go ahead and spring for the Stebel to replace the stock horn ; )

Yep, I replace two before I called it quits. I even tried making my own heavier duty bracket, then all I got was the horn itself making noise because of the bikes vibration.

The loudness of a Stebel would be good, but I think I have read that they fail sooner than what you would expect. What is your experience?

Warranty will cover that. I put in a Fiamm Freeway Blaster which I had to make a bracket for (easy). Much louder than stock, its plug and play, and cost like 15 bucks.

Mine did the same thing. Fixed under warranty. Of cousre I don't use the horn other than to scare rabbets and birds. If there's car I use the time to get out of the way!

The old bumper sticker says it all.

Get an airhorn. You would have to find somewhere hidden to mount the compressor, and if you could, have the compressor run off the engine so you dont have to refill the tank. They make quite a few airhorns for motorcycles. I put a 12"(length) horn on my minivan in high school and I'll just say it literally sounded like a freight train. I even cut a space in the hood so it would stick up like a supercharger. Ahh, the good ole school days.

Do a search for horn bracket and there will be some threads on making a new one out of aluminum C-section. Mine broke twice also.

Hell, I've been debating taking my horn off. Seems like every other time I go to hit the blinkers, I bump the horn. Stoopid fat thumb!
