It just seems like I'm getting more clacking than usual, and not just when it's cold. About the same time I got the '07 airbox cover. Stange that it should make the valves THAT much more noticeable though...? Maybe a combination of the two? ~SM   Darthane Posted on Monday, May 18, 2009 - 12:15 pm:        It's not really strange - you've got a fairly direct line from your ears to the intake valves once you put holes in the upper airbox. It used to be sealed and completely enclosed in plastic. All is well. There is a light ticking sound from the front cylinder at higher RPM's...but it was there when I bought the bike (used). The original owner used Harley synthetic oil.
