what is the tire of choice for xb's I did a search but it pulled up more than I could sort threw. I need both front and rear tires Money is not really an issue as much as performance and mileage. I know the two are a trade off but let me know what you prefer and why. Thanks.

"performance and mileage"
Generally speaking you only get to pick one.

IMHO best (grip/handling/$) tires for and XB/1125R:

Michelin Pilot Power 2cts

+1 on what Barker said and on the Michelins. I have the Pilots on my 9S and it flat out-handles my 12S with stock Dunlops.

Pirelli Diablos are a good choice also.

I've heard good things about 2 ct's

Love the whole tri zone thing with the newer tires..

I'm running the Diablos that are stock on the 08's, and, considering how i ride my bike, they get pretty good mileage. Atleast better then the 207's got...

I mounted a set of Metzeler M3s on my XB12R and couldn't be happier. Not sure what kind of mileage I'll get out of them, but man...do they handle nice.

Many people (myself included) are very happy with the scorpion syncs as well. Its on the sticky side of the sport / touring spectrum, and won't immediately make you go all pear shaped if you suddenly find yourself on gravel or grass for some reason.

I have a set of Continental Road Attacks. They feel much better then the stock tire on my XB9S did, they are supposed to wear much better also. I can't get over how much better they feel, awesome!

I currently run a Continental Road Attack rear and a Continental Sport Attack front. Seems to be the best setup I have had so far. Grips good, wears well and can be had pretty cheap. Seems to be a good combination. BTW the reason I don't run a Road attack front is that they had issues with the Road Attack front tire (delamination I think) and it is made in Korea. I have run one in the past and like the Sport Attack front better. The Road Attack Rear and the Sport Attack Front are made in Germany and have not had any issues.

i liked the scorpion syncs, but wanted to try something new with the cityx 2.0. went with pirelli's latest and greatest, the diablo rosso. no test ride yet, but the reviews were great street tire.

Metzeler Z6 Roadtec gives me good grip and great mileage. Approximately 13,500 miles and the Z6's are the the second set of tires (Dunlop 207s to 6000 miles) on my XB and they show very little wear.
