what's the applicator chemical called? i bought my pucks last year and never got them on. now the stuff in the little cardboard tube things dried up. i remember seeing a thread saying you could buy the stuff at home depot, but can't remember the name or find the thread. thanks guys for any info you can provide. |

Its just alcohol. Clean the frame area where the pucks will be installed with alcohol, let it air dry for about 30 seconds or so, peel the pucks and apply. |

the directions tell you to use alcohol, then the stuff that comes in the kit. i think it's something else. could be wrong tho. |

You could probably use a combination (not mixed) of detergent like 409, then isopropyl alcohol, and everything should stick nicely. |

It's actually toluene and benzene (both known carcinogens by the way). The package actually has a warning label on it to that effect. The only reason I know is that I was looking at installing them on my nephew's (Carbide) XB9S today. It was too cold in the garage so we decided to wait for a warmer day. |

MEK - worked with it for over a year for over a year - 55 gal drums - causes cancer - when did that come out? EZ |
