Nice sled, bro. Gives me some ideas.

I had a 79 GMC Jimmy back around 1987. It was too much fun. I don't really have any good pics of it. Wish I still had it. Always loved the old Broncos too.

Very nice bike and a very nice Bronco to boot!
WooHoo!

To quote the sign on my kitchen wall:

"Although you'll find our house a mess...
Come in, sit down, converse...
It doesn't always look like this,..
Some days it's even worse!"

Welcome to the BadWeb

Edited cause I mis quoted my own sign (doh)

Looks great! I'm a Firebolt fan but I do love these minimalist black Lightnings. It looks like its gonna punch you in the face if you look at it the wrong way. How did you polish the rim of the rear sprocket?

Yea I really like how that rear sprocket looks, also what is going on with your front pulley cover, it looks interesting.

I loosened the wheel and dropped the belt. i used my dremel to lightly sand off the black finish off the edge. then i got a higher grit to smooth it out. after i had it as smooth as i liked, i sealed it with this aluim. wax. it looks great and really adds alot to the rear of the bike.

all i did for the front cover was to cut out the "outline" that the cover has on it. I used my dremel to cut it out then smoothed out the edges. i'm thinking of adding mesh to the opening, but i not too sure i like how you can see inside of it.

looks good- the one thing i dont like too much about the XB's is all that ugly matt black plastic stuff at the rear right hand side of the bike. I guess its there for a reason though. I think the rim highlight and the hole on the pully cover really break it up a bit. Try the mesh i think it would look cool. Go to the kitchen section of the local k-mart, theres all sorts of cool mesh products, spaghetti strainers etc. stainless things with cool holes in them . cheap too.

Nice bike. My only suggestion -and this is entirely personal preference- would be a Buell Blast single headlight.

Very nice job with your bike there, and I like your bronco too!

Question, your front pulley, did you add chrome to any part of that or is it polished?

My bike is polished out in a lot of places, but not there... not yet... : )

here's some of my polishing:

did the whole rear pulley and both wheels. The swingarm brace is a purchased piece, so now I have a spare one. Thinking hard about that front pulley though, now that I saw your bike.

Looked again at the bike and that Corbin seat... thinking it won't be "passenger friendly. If you are not going to have a passenger, why not take off the rear pegs and mounts? That's will clean up the rear lines a bunch.

Below is what I did to the front pulley cover. The dotted white line is the contour of that I followed. If you need some close-up pics of mine, let me know.

Hey Br8knnex...

Just noticed that you have no fork or axle sliders. Such a pretty bike should be protected. I recommend Dark Horse Moto composite sliders - front and rear!

Kedo,

What did you use to cut yours out? Same as Br8knnex? I love what you did with the red accent. Is it a pain in the ass to keep the inside there rust free/corrosion free?

984gasm-

I used a hole saw, a jig saw and a Dremel. I removed the lock washer and cleaned everything up with emery cloth and steel wool. Blasted it clean with some pressurized air, wiped it with some prep and hit it with some clear enamel (LOVE the stuff). I painted the washer red (DUH) to match the Cherry Bomb theme, painted the plastic cover with some OEM Buell graphite (color) frame paint (holds well on the plastic) and TA-DA!!!
