Scunna's wheel is widened to 6 or 6 1/2 if I remember right. I have 190 on mine... work fine on the stock wheel.

It's not much, but here's what I've customized on my new "07". It's only a plastics swap and chain conversion, but then again, I've only owned it for 7 days!

Before:

After:

Other side before:

After:

Front before:

Front after:

P.S. The new 06/07 swingarm actually offers MORE clearance for a chain than the 03 - 05 models did. I suspect that the whole re-design was strictly intended for chain use, since that is what the "RR" uses.

Scunna, I'm really diggin your bike. That's a really tough looking ride. Like how you mounted the straight bars, and have always liked that tail.

In a couple of weeks I'll post my 9S.
I'm getting the XBR tail section then.
Been wanting to do this mod ever since I bought my bike.
Nows my chance. Not an extreme custom, but it's my custom. Stay tuned for pics.

Scunna, did you try fitting the bars without the risers? Did they hit the fork tubes or airbox?

I forget what all went wrong when I tried the drag bars. I know they hit the "tank" really soon, was the main reason I went with clip ons.
There may have been other factors as well, but that was enough to put me off of them.
I hadn't thought of building a riser, or I may have given them another shot.
To find out how they fit, just get a broom stick and put it in the place of your handlebar.

The rear sets were bought from trojan, im sure they are very easy too fit, when they get a bit grubby i will polish them. the wheel was widened to 6 3/4 inches its meant for a 200 but metzeler make a 210 which looks much wider . the bike still handles well. the riser blocks were also from trojan , they were fitted too rise the straight bars a little so when you turn full lock they dont catch the airbox cover. The body kit is from hillbilly its the turbo airbox cover with the jacked up seat unit. Trojan also supplies the trick seat pad. If you have been failing to access my website (its gone ) heres a new one WWW.RODZ.BIZ.

Fritz,

Congratulations on your new ride.

Lemme see if I got this right, ok?

You had this scooter for a week and you are still running the stock can and the reflectors?

Did I miss something?

Are you feeling ok?

At least you got rid of the rubber band, but that went without saying, am I right, my brother?

I want a really aggressive look. Think im nearly there. For the future i want to fit one of my wheelie switches, a numberplate that disappears when ignition is off and a flamer for my exhaust. lol i have visions of myself wheelieing down the road with flames from my exhaust. im mad !!!

Thanks Rod, your bike is also one of my favorite to look at. Can't wait to see the paint. I know it will be bright... I remember you saying you like loud paint jobs. Your Super Moto is loud also.

Seriously though how do you get a flame to come out of the exhaust. I've seen it on cars but don't know how it exactly works??

the problem is, i dont really have room for anymore bottles so i have something to ignite and make the flame with or i'd have it done already. i could always use the ones that cut out the ignition flooding things with fuel to burn, but they were designed for carb's and i dont think they work near as well with injection.

Saintly,
That chain is sweeeeet. But is that the stock tensioner pulley? Won't the chain eat thru it?

Scunna,
Man that bike is loud... but I like it.
Shooting flames from an under-slung exhaust would be an interesting way to heat up the rear tire.

Damn I need to get me an XB....

There's couple of ways to get the flames out of the exhaust. The easiest is wiring in a switch that cuts the ignition, sends raw fuel out the exhaust like no_rice said and also fires a spark plug that's been fitted into the tailpipe. Voila - solves that tailgater problem.

you would definatly have to change the oil alot more if you are pumping raw fuel through the motor very much though. it would wash the cylinder walls and also work its way into the oil shortly.

ive seen some people just do a small propane tank and a line that funnels the gas into the exhaust with an ignighter...saves ur motor...little drilling...some steel lines and a switch and ignighter...u got flamage...wish i was mechanicaly inclined enough to do that i want flames.....
