Cycle Gear is offering a tremendous deal on Pirelli Diablos. You have to buy the front and rear and this is a pre-order. The tires will be shipped on October 31st. I ordered a pair for $180 including shipping and taxes. Great deal!!! I recommend you'll jump on it before they run out.

Yeah, amazing deal. I just saw it on their site tonight. I ordered two sets for $360 including tax and shipping. That's what I normally pay for a single set of Diablos locally. I love the tires too. I've got 20K+ miles on Diablos. They're really grippy and I trust them. They work great on the track too. Gonna use the money I saved to buy a tire changer and balancer from Harbor Freight.

Thanks for posting this. I totally need new tires. And this is a great deal! Wish I didn't have to wait until the end of the month to see them though.

Just in case anyone might be concerned about which version of the Diablos are included in this sale, here is an email from Cycle Gear Customer service:

"Jonathan,
These are not the Corsa's, these are the Pirelli Diablo Supersport tires.
Thank you for choosing CycleGear.com."

Get 'em now. I know that the people on the other boards I'm on that I posted the deal on are going crazy over them. I wouldn't doubt they're gonna run out quick. Especially with people like me that will buy two sets.

I've gotten as much as 6000-7000 out of a rear, and 10,000-12,000 out of a front. But it depends on how you ride. Most of those miles are straight highway.

Too bad the offer doesn't include a 170/60x17 rear. I could use a set for my S1.

Macbuell

Your timing is inpecable.
I was just whining to a friend the other night about how I love my firebolt [unlike the CityX] but I have not pushed it yet because I dont trust the Dunlops. I have slid the front wheel twice and both wheels twice while riding. Same thing used to happen on my CBR600RR.
I HATE DUNLOPS!!!!!!!
cya later bye!!!
Hello Pirelli's

Thanks for letting us know

Elff, my pleasure. My philosophy on stuff like this is to spread the wealth.

Daveinm, I saw that you said you bought two pairs. I hope that works for you. The fine print on the offer indicated one set per customer. Let me know if they end up shipping you two.

Yeah...I agree Mac. I posted it on a few forums I'm on as soon as I saw it. You beat me to it here.: )

I didn't see the fine print. They let me checkout and charged my card, so i guess we'll see what happens. I'm friends with 3 guys that work at a local CycleGear, so i should be able to get them either way. Thanks for the heads up though. I'll let you know what happens.

Hey guys great find! Just one question for you before I buy. Will a 190 fit the back of our 06XB12Ss. Looks like pleanty of room. Any thoughts, or should I stick with the 180 rear instead. I'm not a real cornering kinda person. Just like the bigger tire look.

A 190-50 will for sure. Not too sure about the 190-55's.

Would these work on a road only XB12X? Any other Ulysses riders thinking of running these?

I don't see why not. They are a SuperSport tire and should give you great mileage.
