Looks Great! You don't have to worry about scratches any more.

I have this stuff on my truck bed, after a while it tends to fade a little. You can buy a conditioner that brings back the shine and make it look new again if this happens (should not see as much sun as a truck that is outside every day).

that looks very trick indeed! really would look sweet if you put a light under there like you mentioned maybe doing. could you tell if they seemed much heavier than before? looks like a good thin coat on it but im just curious.

The only downside that I can think of is increased wear on leathers, although that applies to the tank too.

It looks great!

But good luck keeping the bug guts out of the grooves on your flyscreen. I have trouble enough keeping my smooth surface clean.

The good thing is that you can now scrub it with an SOS pad and Comet without concern. : )

I have mixed feelings but it would fix the ugly wound from riding across 3 provinces with sharp scissors under my tank bag

Doh

That looks wonderful Angela,
Did you notice that they missed a spot on the tank were the Buell decals are?
You really don't need the decals darling,
Everyone knows its a damn Buell, and if they don't, it doesn't really matter anyway, does it?

Hmmm. I kinda like it. It is an excellent example of form and function. The thought of never having to repaint my bike again is apealing. Methinks you may have started a trend. I am unsure about the additional weight though.

Looks very cool!

Only thing I don't care for is how they cut in around the Buell Logo. I think I would have done right over the stickers, then cut them out. That would have left the Blue plastic showing as the graphics...

I have been needing to paint my bike for awhile now and just can't seem to want to spend 1000+ for something that wont last. So I did some checking and it turns out linex can do colors. Currently my bike is silver with ghost flames (bought it painted). I had to low side it last year to avoid being grill meat. That silver linex is starting to look kinda good to me.. Do the whole bike for 200.00 bones. Now I just got to figure out the weight issue. Just think no more scratches from luggage, low sides, tipped over etc.

Two simple yet stunning paint jobs in one day???? I can't take anymore

Nice idea Angela, and it works. Did I miss a distance shot showing all of your CityX?

It looks great, but I'd. lose the decals, they take away from that distinctive look.

ok, answers
Weight...I can't say EXACTLY how much more it weighs, but it's still EXTREMELY light, I thought it would be heavier, but honestly, they seem only fractionally heavier than when I carried them into the shop naked..so I have to say MAYBE 1/2 pound heavier than original.

Logo cut-out...I gave him the option to do what he thought would look best. Upon seeing the final outcome I was even more ecstatic because now I can put lights under the cover and have them glow through the logo area, which I think will look AMAZING..and of course, when I do it, I'll take pics.

Grime cleanage...I am pretty confident a sponge with a scrubby side would remove any bug intestines that may find their way on the bike... it is extremely durable stuff. There is also am armour-all type spray they gave me to keep it looking shiny (not slippery)...but it's covered when I'm not riding, so I'm not to concerned with the fading. It even sparkles when light hits it!

Other parts...upon afterthought, I should have brought the handguards, frame pucks and the chin spoiler in to be done as well, but I can always bring them in later. I thought about doing the frame, but decided against it, first because I didn't want to disassemble the bike to do it, second, because I need to be able to slide on the frame to get down when I stop (short buelligan), the stuff is pretty grippy.

Ahhh...to never worry about scratches..I also put valve stem lights on it, purple, of course I may never get to see them work..but other people said they look neat...ahh..I'm so ghetto sometimes!
HUGS everyone...let me know if you have any other questions!!! Thanks for all the comments.

I don't think there would be a problem with weight, if they only used a coat or two.

Chin fairing! Now there's an idea, that little bit gets pelted pretty badly.

I wonder how it would look with the older Buells that have the letters on the airbox separated rather than one big piece like on the City-X?
I would think the letters would still stand out enough to be able to read when they sprayed over everything?

Also I know they have different colors of Line-X, but do they fade worse than black??

Line-x ONLY does Black (they say the color fades pretty badly, so they just don't do it.. AT LEAST not at my shop)..Rhino Liner does custom colors, but I did not hear the best reviews about their product AND the guy I talked to on the phone was a putz..Line-x was SUPER nice..

the PARTS were naked not ME..yikes..I didn't want to ruin their retinas!
