Getting better. This was a brand new rotor, this is after 7 laps in 50* weather. Using the Vesrah pads from EBR.  I made two good passes on the brakes, vid will be along soon showing that. | ||

Niiiiiice! Those Vesrah don't last, but they sure do grab. Awesome pads, eh? You are getting really good heat into the system. Any fade? Did you pull the retaining clips from the caliper? What MC? Nice work -- with the upgrades these bikes do pretty well on the brakes. | ||

Yeah, they def don't last that well, as these are now pretty shot after last weekend. But man, they put a stop in a hurry. Not real issues with fade, I would just like to firm up the initial travel. It pulls back further than I would like, and is a bit squishy, but was pretty consistent all day. Stock MC, stock caliper, still has clips, etc. Running Amsoil fluid. | ||

After running it in the Race on Sunday, I will once again sing the praises of the Beringer BRO14 Maste Cylinder that was loaned to me from Lemick Racing. This MC is just awsome. Fantastic power and precise feel and control. I attribute my 3rd place finish to the confidence this MC gave me to brake later and carry the brakes deeper and increasing my overall corner speed. I will definitely be buying one. I have no financial interest in this whatsoever.  | ||

In between the OEM MC (a total POS, IMHO) and that very nice, but expensive unit Rob has the luxury of enjoying is the Brembo 19x18 or for a little more the RCS19. A better MC is an essential upgrade, IMHO, and would help with the initial travel problem. Removing the pad retaining clips will help the caliper cool a little better, and reduce pad wear slightly. Change your fluid frequently using the brakes like that. | ||
