I just wanted to share of small modification I did my 1125 That allowed me to use a magnetic tank bag that I owned before I bought this bike. Since the "Tank" is plastic there's nowhere for the magnets to stick so I used an epoxy to glue some magnets to the inside of the cover and also put some metallic tape over them, A simple idea I know but also really good one my roommate came up with it And it is worked great.

Just wanted to pass that onto anybody interested.

See what I mean? heheheh

It was the result of a Saturday in the garage.
Too big but it was handy...

I have the Uly now with plenty of luggage space and a tailbag for day trips on Loretta.

George
Shortly after I got Loretta(DEC 2007) I sprayed several layers of clear lacquer over the OEM powdercoat.
I guess I did it too early(still cold) and used too much... I wanted it ready for Homecoming 2008.
It looked gorgeous for 2 years. Looks like a dry lake-bed now.

Someday she'll get stripped and painted black metallic.

Lately Ive been thinking about doing something so I could use a magnetic mount tank bag. I was thinking of epoxying some sheet metal to the inside of the air box cover. I havent got past the thinking stage and I havent checked to see how much clearance there is between the outer and inner covers. Anybody else tried anything like this? Het Devondunit, how thick were the magnets you used?
