Good read about Erik & EBR in the March 2012 issue of Entrepreneur magazine. About 5 1/2 pages total with a cool full-page picture of Erik smiling in his Buell leathers sitting / leaning on the 1190RS. |

I suspect sometimes Court logs into the wrong site (Badweb) and all he posts is his grocery list...then deletes it when he realizes it |

http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/222783 "Expect a good showing when EBR heads to Daytona for the 2012 Superbike Championship in early March. "We found an additional 10 mph in the post season, and the bike can reach 213 mph in race trim," Buell says, beaming. If true, this would officially make the 1190RS the fastest thing on two wheels manufactured in the U.S." (Message edited by unique_id on February 21, 2012) |

213mph in race trim? DAMN! That's *hauling.* Clearly, nobody would ever want to buy that motorcycle. If you had to go everywhere at 213mph, you'd never make it! That's why underpowered, overweight motorcycles are better? Right? Right??? ... I'd love to just sit on one at some point. |

"By the end of this year, EBR plans to up its production level to 900 bikes and will be close to coming out with a mass-market offering in the range of $10,000 to $20,000." Wooohooo! |

A 10k bike? Hard to imagine what that would be... certainly not an 1190. But a 20k-ish Ducati/KTM killer would be fantastic. I've been putting off buying anything more or less expecting the announcement any day, honestly. |

"With Harley, our bikes were good, but we didn't hit people's hearts," Buell says. "They didn't make anyone go, ‘I gotta have that.'" I disagree. |

He may have sub-conciously been speaking his own mind. I can imagine what a drag it must have been for him being stuck using the Sportster motor all those years with his advanced thinking chassis design. |

Fire the poof-reader! I love irony Awesome read, thanks for the link. Funny tho, when I saw a picture of the 1125R and read the HP and weight July of 2007, I shouted "I gotta have THAT!!!" Ordered one early August and took delivery 18DEC07. If I could lay my hands on $40K I'd say the same thing about the 1190RS but I'm a pragmatist. Should be ready tho in a year or two. Zack |
