BTW: How many miles on your bike? Ever ridden in the rain? That will cake on the rads.

I've noticed I tend to eat grasshoppers down here a bit, and so a couple of times a season I pull the rads and spray water through them so they are clean as new again.

Does make a difference...

25k Jim. i've sprayed them out a few times but when i pull the bike apart to do valve adjust the rads are coming out and will be getting treated to a thorough cleaning inside and out. also thinking about deleting the fan shrouds as you mentioned. and will be carefully measuring out 75%distilled 12.5% water wetter and 12.5% coolant. may even go to a local radiator fab shop to get their input.

If you don't freeze in your area, go for water + water wetter only.

It only takes a few capfuls of water wetter to properly treat the whole 1125r cooling system, btw.

"I think when the race radiator kit came out for the 1125RR, someone here priced it and it was almost half the MSRP of an 1125r!"

When the 1125RR's were at MMP last time around, I was drooling over the rad set-up - the guys just laughed and said "you can't afford them".

So - my cheesy compromise....

And I still hit 225 to 230 at shut-down after a session on 90+ degree days. (As long as I'm moving at race pace, it will stay below 200)

For comparison- I weigh 200# as well. I drag race my 1125 bone stock motor with just a Barker slip on and EBR off the shelf ecm. Bike is lowered and stretched 8" . I have been quicker than that bike , 10.058 BUT - at only 133.xx mph! I am able to come out of the hole much harder than that stock wheelbase bike, so 140 mph is HUGE! That kit is making really nice power! Exciting news for sure : )

yeah i am close to 280 suited maybe more. im 248 in street clothes so i know i'm heavy as for racing goes which doesn't help the heat management issue at all.

I did find out that this kit will work with the stock 1125 cooling system. From what I understand, it's a bolt on deal. I don't know what the impact will be when running stock 1125 headers or even the stock muffler, some testing & tuning WILL be required I'm sure. Just a guess, but I would think the stock muffler will be a restriction.

140mph Doesn't seem to impressive for all the work being done to this bike. I've only gone down a strip twice and my second time I hit 10.3 @ 136mph. the only thing my bike had was a fmf slip on and EEBBRR ecu. I didn't have the front end strapped and I'm sure I made several mistakes... I also weigh 185 before I add clothing and gear. I feel like with the front strapped and a improved launch I feel that I could hit 140mph on my bike without investing in several thousand dollars of performance accessories... Is that unrealistic? Please Don't take this as negative attention because I myself love seeing aftermarkets companies stepping up to the plate on improving our two wheeled machines! Would it be that hard for me to gain another 4 mph though???

no it wouldn't be that hard if you're a novice now with the right training and practice.

Drag increases as the square of the speed. After a point it takes serious power increases to see much gain in MPH.

Just add a blue bottle and you can go straight to ludicrous speed. FUN is having to remind yourself to set the front wheel down before the first trap...Sensible is having the hardware and technology for the bike to do it for you. There is just something exciting about having the wheel hanging at the 1,000 foot mark.
