This one is dedicated to everyone who quotes numbers for their bike like they actually did it. I heard I get lots of torque at 10k, can't prove it. I heard lots of HP at red line, you'll never know (unless you miss a gear, in which case you're just scared you broke the bike). Alleged 9.5 second 1/4, no slip to show it. Bike can win championship races, you can't. |

Joe is stating 9.5s, and has slips to prove it. I dont see much drag stuff on here, so not sure who that could be in reference to. I like the general idea of the thread, just hate the execution. It reminds me of how I feel about people and their favorite teams 'we're going to the superbowl!' No......THEY are going to the superbowl 'we got to do something about our D this season' No......THEY got to do something about their defense etc etc etc Besides, if this thread was really about what "YOU" can really do, then many many many people on here would be included, I dont think any/many built the motors they are using (design and all, not just replacing cams etc). |

ps - on the drag thing (sorry, im a huge enthusiast) - most people who race and know who else races dont question the slips of other racers. Its not like there are a lot of people on here stating they are running 8s on a completely stock 1125s or something |

Wow "Clark". I was just checking out your profile. You don't even state you own a Buell and list the model year as 1857. Then looking at your posts and you say such motorcycle-related things such as: "Drugs, prostitution, gambling, etc all have awesome uses and reasons to do. I choose to break the law with them just to have a great time laughing with my friends. You know what I'd do with a million dollars? Two chicks at the same time." and "The issue I have is when things are marketed as illegal items by the government that are for the express purpose of having a good time." I wouldn't plan on being around too long.... -Tutt (Message edited by cowboytutt on May 11, 2011) |

>>> I heard I get lots of torque at 10k, can't prove it. False. We have these things called dynamometers. >>> I heard lots of HP at red line, I've never heard anyone claim "lots of HP at red line." >>> you'll never know (unless you miss a gear, in which case you're just scared you broke the bike). False. Dynamometers again. Also false in that it's not uncommon to bump into the rev limit during aggressive acceleration, like on the track. I've done it. I have a video showing an AMA professional racer doing it. |

"Without loyal fans, there is no team, so it's perfectly reasonable for loyal fans to view themselves as part of the overall team effort. Maybe someone suffers from a poor attitude. " Yes, I understand that some view themselves as part of the overall team effort. Those people are wrong. I've been to Panthers games (NC guy), didnt matter how loud the crowd got, the panthers still suck most of the time (fingers crossed for this season!) It doesnt change the fact that those fans STILL arent winning a superbowl/stanley cup/world series etc As for the bad attitude - I learned it all from you, Blake |

"Yes, I understand that some view themselves as part of the overall team effort. Those people are wrong. " There's your problem right there, a feeling of dis-connection with the Buell Team. I'm no employee/Elf but I HAVE made contributions to The Team, myself. I have a T-shirt that was schwag for sending a donation to Geoff Mays' racing effort(tires). I still have a belt on my 1125 that Buell R&D sent me to test - it's performing admirably. Get involved, not just bitching, it's more fun. Z |

I think the Original Poster had an interesting idea but his mistake was implying FRAUD of time slips and dyno pulls etc. No reason for that. Kindergarten rules fellas. Treat others the way you want to be treated. The Original Poster shouldn't be surprised at all at the response he has received. -Tutt |

To pose or not to pose. That is the question. Ride hard or stay home....time slips tell the tale....win or lose...ride hard or stay home.... |

I sometimes wonder why mods don't just ban trolls. Is it because they enjoy battling trolls? Or are they giving the troll the benefit of the doubt? A troll by any other name is still a troll. And you, despite your outstanding results in the Special Olympics, are nothing more. |

Inside the Buell phenomenon there is a nationalistic spirit than wants 'the best' for their American brand. The Japanese Italian's, German's, British all do it to some degree. Now Americans are doing it too. The micro sized E-B-R/David and the Italian, German, and Japanese Goliath's makes anything close to successful appear dramatic. |

Is the troll the one who starts it, or the one who thrashes out from misunderstanding? This has nothing to do with fraud, or the American brand, or exaggerations. It has to do with you, what you have done, and what you claim can be done. And most of all, what you imply you've done because of what you own. There's a delta in there. By tne Numbers, what is it.....for you? |

I posted my Dyno run. It's in the Archive. 130+ RWHP bone stock. I am not a racer. Going fast in a straight line doesn't blow my hair back like riding empty country roads at or above the legal limit. I applaud those who do drag and compete in road racing, I don't question their exploits. |

I've run 7.1 in the 1/8th mile on a bone stock bike at a terrible track my first day out with slips to prove it. Not amazing, but its my best time so far. With the upgrades its much harder to get the power to the ground. |
