Does anyone make a 2 into 2 exhaust for the 1125R.

One like on the Aprilla RSV1000R

Hey Ratgin, check this dual exhaust out. Its a bit fugly for me but it may be something you might like.

Personally though, if you want a duel exhaust you might want to check out Dean's RT4

Yes the RT4 is sweet.

Only issue is noise regs are coming to almost every city in Canada and i need a DB killer.

The only 2-2 I've seen is the Free Spirits pipe-set.
I think it sounds horrible.

Dean Adams twin-can setup, the RT4 is THE sweetest sounding exhaust made for the 1125.

If you want to give a TM torque hammer a try I have one for sale for $499. That should be cheap enough that if you buy it and don't like it you could get your money back out. They are about $900 new. It's not 2-2 but sounds and, I think, looks good. It's on ebay if you want to see it. Item 280589388302 or search buell 1125 exhaust.

Carbonbf

Strictly a looks deal. Visually more balanced and i don't like the lack of clearance of the under slung pipe.

U was just wondering is anyone was aware of a standard two can exhaust system for the 1125R.

Everything i have seen for the Buell is underslung and i was looking for a more typical dual exhaust like the Aprilla RSV 1000.

There were a few out there but they really don't look quite right on the 1125. All of them were one-off fabs.

I hear ya Ratgin about the noise ordinance. I think all of the Buell exhausts are loud though. Good luck hunting for that certain dual exhaust.

I saw a custom one off dual pipe setup that hangs from the passenger pegs like a Busa. Hideous, but it is his bike, not mine.

Ratgin,

i dont think, you Will find one like apprilla besides of someone makes one, my new system Will be sexy, no filling material, 95 db with db-killer, And à lot off top end power. And it Will be à dual echaust tip. I Will sell it as à kit, fuelmap, intake stacks and exhaust, it Will be the performance package for the 1125

I have a 96 S1 with a tuned CV, a gutted and welded D&D megaphone muffler, and an Erik Buell Racing ECM for the last 12 years. It is very easy to go through town at midnight on an S1, just short-shift at 2200 rpm. I have gone right by Cops mant times no problem.

There have been many times in traffic on my S1 when I have successfully warned with my exhaust bark.
I have instinctively done this a few times on the CR, embarrassing is all in can say.

{Pisses me off: An Erik Buell Racing ECM equipped CR will drain its electrical system lugging it around.}

Has NOTHING to do with the EB computer.

Don't lug the engine. It's not a tuber. REV IT and all will be well.

My CR spends very little time below 4500rpm and I have yet to have a single problem with it. Ride the bike the way the engine is designed to be used.

riding any Buell at midnight at 4500 rpm will get you pulled over for sure.

Like I said before, get your bike fixed. No issue here. If the slightly earlier fan on temp is causing that many issues for you, your bike wasn't in good shape to start with stock.

Not true, unless you have a stupidly loud exhaust, which wasn't on there from the factory.

Yes Froggy, the topic is exhaust systems. My concern with a barker or keda is the police at midnight. Late night is the one time when you are MOST likely to be harassed for noise, thus lugging around killing your electrical system trying to be quiet.

Not when you live in or near Milwaukee, WI. My Buell while still on the stock exhaust is very quiet compared to almost all the HD's in the area. Especially in the summer after the Bar's close.

Again, get your bike fixed, whether its the stator, or the VR, or maybe the battery. something isn't right with your setup. : )

Knock on wood, I've been riding to/from work (2nd shift up until this month) with the original RT-4 that I built back in May and I have yet to get pulled over for noise. I've gone by numerous squad cars, even passed some on the highway at 75-80 mph in 4th, 5th and 6th gear, so pretty much anywhere from 4-6k rpm. Not once have I been pulled over for noise. Actually, the only thing I got pulled over for this past year was a DOT sticker check for my helmet by a state trooper. Oops, also once for "speeding and cutting that poor lady off" that damn near ran me over while she was changing lanes and doing 90 or so. I just wanted to get away from the stupid b%*#$.
Either I've gotten unbelievably lucky so far or it's not really that loud. 7000+ miles so far on that pipe, still sounds the same as the day I built it.

if you could make a 95db system i'd be well impressed, i took my bike out for a little test today, so far the quietest silencer i have come up with is 104 db@5k, the others have been 108-110, anyways i did a noise test from the opposite side of the bike to the exhaust outlet from about a metre away towards the front of the bike as well, the result was still 99.5 db @5k,

my day job is building race car manifolds etc and recently we had a porsche 996 gt3 rs in, which in standard trim is 104db@5k,the owner wanted 95db for track days, we tried a few things and got down to 101db, atfer a while we did a little "cheat", we put 3 metre long pipes on the end of the exhaust tips so they exited far away from the car, result= the engine alone makes 101 db@5k,my point is on the headstock my bike is stamped 102 db@5k, surely the engine noise alone will stop you getting to 95db?

The noise law for MC in Canada that many cities are adopted is

92bd idle
96 at rpm

SAE J2825 standard

So it will be interesting how the 1125R fairs since the factory exhaust is fairly loud. (posts from people who have done the tests range from 94-101)
