An Anon poster stated that Comfort seat vendor and Erik Buell Racing were not on best terms. i was hoping Erik Buell Racing but is seems that is the wrong direction. Erik Buell Racing could license a limited run of logo stitching to whomever as the next best option. I am now hoping that anon will point Al at American Sport Bike in the right direction to make this deal a reality. If your name is not on the list then I missed it or it seemed as though no stitching was a deal breaker. Let me know. Just so we're clear for everybody, at first you listed the seats as "stock" + 2" for those that want a little more leg room which is fine. But "comfort" + 2" seems a little thick if it's going to be as thick as the out of stock comfort seats from Buell on the Firebolt and 1125 ... plus another 2". The thickness of the "comfort" seat that used to be available is kind of what I had in mind of "stock" + 2". Just being clear that we aren't talking about a 4" tall seat, lol. | ||

I am interested as well if the price is similar to what the comfort seat sold for. I would like just the standard style. If it was more, I would lean more on the side of spending a little extra for a custom Baldwin. Thanks for trying to set this up! I hope it works out. | ||

Here is most likely the OEM supplier. I would bet that H-D owns the tooling our has it tied up in a contract for their exclusive use. Besides that it is a proprietary design, so same situation that the supplier could not produce for someone else. http://www.gsk.com.tw/us/html/prod2w.html | ||

Jornum1: The Baldwins are very close to what we want price wise. Corbin's pricing is 100.00 higher than we want but you don't have the core charge issue. Gowindward: Is the original comfort seat Chinese? If so, that explains why it was so inexpensive. Can a BWB sponsor work some sort of group deal with on a basic vinyl touring grade seat for 37 people and counting? the touring factory seat has about 2" of foam. i am still interested in a thicker seat and am dam tired of swapping it back and fourth between my 1125r and my XB | ||

I wonder how much a "gel" seat would cost us? I ask because I want the comfort for my longer rides, but not over 2 inches worth of seat. So I was thinking my gel bicycle seat is pretty thin. And I have gel insoles in my boots which are comfy and thin too. So maybe a gel (or gel/memory foam) seat for the 1125r would give us the comfort without sacrificing our ability to transition in the twisties. Anybody have some thoughts on this? Somebody commented on the colour, something about the Erik Buell Racing logo on the seat being red. If I had the option I'd want it blue. I have an '08 and red would just look bad IMO. My second choice would be to have the logo embroidered in black so it would match all models. | ||

That's the one most people refer to as Baldwin. I have one and I'm very happy with it. I had a deposit for a comfort seat at my dealer around the time they started to get scarce, and when it became official that they were gone my dealer sold me a slightly-ripped stock seat that I sent off to Baldwin, with complete satisfaction. | ||
