I got all my TPS wiring issues all straightened out finally, so with the K&N filter ,Barker exhaust, and the EBR ECM here is my dyno run NO i do not have a before stock run but I will tell you this it is much smoother and runs much better that it did a week ago,so I am happy with my performance, I am only posting this as a reference point for others to see,you all know or should anyways, that the bikes were rated at crankshaft HP and rear wheel HP is most generally 80% or so of that number....

How long has it been on, ie; more than 250 miles since you installed everything? If it hasn't been on there all that long, I'd ride it around a lot and then go back to the dyno. You might see an even larger number after you ride it a bit and the ECM learns some more.

80% of 146 hp is only 116. Most are posting 120+ stock, however, 128 hp is a pretty respectable number.

D_Adams: Question. From this I take it the EBR ECM will still utilize the NB 02's for learning? With the stock ECM I was under the impression that learning occurred during cruise operation (low throttle medium to low rpm). Do you know what conditions the Race ECM learns? Can any of the EBR ecms utilize WideBand Sensors???
Thank you

this shows a much lower gain than what barkers website shows? And they say with only an exhuast and filter they achieved those gains...what gives? Is this dyno historically conservative that you did your run on?

I cannot answer the EBR questions, other than I know that leaving the O2 sensors on is an option, but it must be specified when you order the ecm. I do not have one myself yet, I'm still in the development stages for the exhaust systems I build. Tuning will happen later, I just don't know when.
You should direct those questions directly to EBR, they do respond and will have the answers you seek.

Just to clarify, you don't need to specify this when ordering. I read this post last night and emailed EBR. I just got my ECM and never really specified anything when I ordered, so I figured I'd better ask before I install it, just incase.

They replied this morning and said "I do not know how you were led to believe this is an issue, but it is not. The ECM will work with or without O2 sensors; it is smart enough to know if you are using them."

Well, I guess I was just another one of the uninformed, unwashed masses when I made that statement. I stand corrected and apologize for the misinformation. I had read that here somewhere, I just can't place where it was at. Crap, I read it on the internet, it had to have been true!

Well, I had 1/2 of it right anyway, you have the option of using them if you so desire.

Keith, is there any chance of you running it on the dyno with the factory (stock) ecm but leave the rest?

I just got my EBR race ECM today.
Put it on right after I kissed the wife and grabbed a beer.

While at work, I got Jeff to Baseline her on our dyno.
In a few days after the snowstorm/cold due tonight passes, I'll dyno the race ECM.

I asked EBR to drop the idle rpm a bit and it seems they did.
Used to idle at 16-1700 rpm, now she idles at 11-1200, FINALLY sounds like a twin. Thank You EBR !!!

Low speed is even smoother than her best, although I idle at 10mph now instead of 7mph with the OEM ECM in first gear.
Seems stronger, hard to tell, DEFINITELY smoother than she has EVER run.
250 dollars WELL spent IMO.

Here's my dyno run from today -
Loretta - 2008 1125R - #154 Nov07 build - K&N - Drummer - M3HUS062 flash - 24,200 miles

Same-same in a few days with race ECM

nice zac. I didn't know you guys had a dyno. Maybe I should have you guys strap her down when I bring it in for the 630 service. How much do you charge for a baseline?

Nope really no chance of me puttng stock ecm back on and dynoing it again, it cost me 100.00 for them to run it on the dyno at the local HD dealer and it isn't worth spending another 100.00 to me know what it was stock,sorry....

Service keeps telling me baseline's are free, mine was.
Any time I sell a set of slip-ons, I tell the buyer to get one so he knows if he needs a tune.

Nothing happening today, snow-day.
Boss called and said stay home, wife just brought me coffee and blueberry muffins.

Almost time to go out and play in the garage.

Every time I change the exhaust, I call and tell them I just need to check changes, they charge me $25 or $30 for 3 pulls. I've probably done a total of 35-40 pulls on the dyno so far for various tests. As I recall, I did probably 15 in one day last year doing the stock modified exhaust. At this point I certainly haven't made any real $$, but it's getting there. I'll be doing another set next week, probably on Friday again just to verify some results. I think my ECM rides the short bus and is a slow learner.

Keef's race ECM dyno went to 11 grand. Time for some head porting to take advantage of that added rev range?

Hey Keef the dealership called me the other day and asked me a bunch of questions about what we did when we tested and the guy that called did say he was very interested in having you run it with the stock ecm. Just from looking at the fuel curve on the dyno chart it looks like it is running lean still it would be nice to see it in the 13.2 range. We talked about it for quite awhile he had some ideas to try on it.
But i know you don't want to spend more on the dyno when you can spend it in gas
I would have loved to see a comparison between the stock exhaust and ours to see the gain on this dyno. I am more than willing to help in any way to get the most out of it.
