Ride it and enjoy it. I can give you a good stock tip if you're looking for an investment.

Nobody could answer that with any certainty. I suspect that prices for them will remain fairly level (i.e. less depreciation than another similar bike) but that's a suspicion rather than a certainty.

Personally - i intend to just ride mine, and do the mods I want to do to it.

Bearing in mind the issues some are already having with delays in getting OEM parts that's quite possibly what will make the difference between values going up and ending up with a bike that nobody would be able to buy because of a lack of parts.

I remember (vividly) the investment banks that bought rare cars as invetments and then when that bubble burst they lost millions. A colleague at work bought a beautiful Aston Martin from a bank for £35k and they'd paid £240k for it 18 months earlier.. I know that's an extreme example but it does show these things are never certain..

As long as you can buy another one to ride. Go ahead put it under the glass and museum it. Other than that your missing out on the best piece of asphalt travel to ever travel the asphalt. Hmmmmm ??? Which way do you choose. Go Down the rabbit hole or .....?

If you wanted a bike that is only good as a museum piece, you should of gotten a Harley : )

I would ride it !! Harley did enough to hurt the value of the bike , don't let them ruin your enjoyment of it too !

I'll put it this way - I've got 1 of 9 MY10 white CRs and I'm going to ride the hell out of it! Frankly, I don't plan on ever selling it.

Having a bike that is out of production is no different than buying a two year old UJM. They have moved on and virtually no parts are interchangeable with current production, but they still must support them. You can still find new old stock parts for 70's CB750's that have been sitting on shelves for decades.

Second, I suggest using this bike like you would any other bike you might purchase. In five years, standards will have moved on and you may be wanting the latest and greatest (I expect I will) and you will have missed out on the fun of enjoying this bike while you can. There are already mint examples being stored in Milwaukee and Birmingham. I am no museum curator.

Lastly, if you want to be the wacky guy still riding around on his 1978 GS 1000 while the rest of the world has moved on, I see no reason why you couldn't do that.

Ride it! I've made good money on nearly no mileage investment-grade cars, but the person that bought it new and held it for 20 years is usually NOT the person that makes the most profit on it. The second person that owns it, the one that knows how markets work and knows how buy and then sell it right, is the one that makes the $$$. Ask me how I know ; )

I have an '06 XBSs that I plan on keeping, if not riding, forever, simply for sentimental reasons. Parts should be available for a number of years, and after that, I may have to buy junked XBs for parts! But I'm certainly not just going to let it sit. It's just my opinion, but I think Erik would be a bit disappointed if we all put up our Buells simply because they ceased production. Don't disappoint The Man!

You may as well ride it, I have a Triumph Trident from 1976 in good shape (original too), parts are easy to get even now. Its so call value has not really increased when you look at what a dollar brought then and what it buys now. Breaking even might be the best way to call it! So just ride, thats why it exists!

Invest and Motorcycle should NEVER be used in the same sentence unless you're talking Brough, BSA, Vincent - maybe Velocette or the truly esoteric machinery.

It's criminal NOT to ride a Buell.
