I think you will be very pleased Zack as myself and many have been. I did not think my original O3Z flash was very bad, and it wasn't, but much improved now with a similar setup. The stock ECM will gather much dust before I ever put it back on. Bob

Does anyone know if they made changes to the new data in the ddfi2 compared to the older version ecms I already own?

I simply want to know facts not what the data is nor do i want to copy it. Sometimes A person like to own an actual product.

Fakes are like taking a white tee shirt and a black marker and writing BUELL on it yourself. Sure it says buell but its not the same as having the real stuff.

Don't forget for those questioning the 08 and 09 ebr ecm. you may see the same map but that's just one picture. There are other factors that tell the map what it is and how to react to it. It is a solid state computer module it knows what it see's. the same company made the DDFI 1,2 and 3. This is not there first rodeo. They have compliance's they must meet. I dont know how this works out on the New race ecms but I'm sure if you ask them they will tell you.
That's what I do when I want to know something. I ask.

Mike

the whole issue to me is rideability. If WOT numbers are your priority that's one thing.

90% of the time a street bike in nowhere near WOT. I would venture to guess that for most of us WOT exists mostly on the straights. Who gives a rip about peak HP when 98% of your riding experience is nowhere near WOT?

Rideability is the issue and the $250 race module is clearly for the street, it runs lean. Nobody is fooling anybody on that one. On my 96s1 I went into the dealer in 97 and had the buell race module installed. The only way they would warranty it is if they put it on. Back then the race module and carb tweaks regained all kinds of power throughout the RPM range. I am sure it is the same thing today just electronic everything. I wouldn't second guess those engineers at EBR. Almost every person that gets an EBR ECM likes it. The Dyno peak HP guys are the complainers.

If you want WOT HP cheap
http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/artikelen.asp may be your best bet.

If you want responsible rideability http://www.ebracing.com/shop/page8.html is the way to go.

one bigggggg question, if this is a RACE ecm and is for OFF ROAD USE ONLY.. why is everyone saying how its so great on the street, smooths stuff out, makes the bike more rideable, etc. when in reality id think a RACE ecm would kinda do the opposite. make it a beast on the track give you a good amount more hp and rip like all hell at WOT... kinda what you are doing while racing. not putting around at 3k rpm seeing it things ride smooth there and run cooler... im just trying to understand this not tryin to be a smart butt

I agree with you Rockstarblast1 in principle but as I am waiting for the EBR race ECU to arrive I can't comment yet but I assume by calling it a race ecu and stating it is not for the street covers EBR if you get pulled by the police and EPA maybe?

I get that and no questions asked that's the reason but if it is the same ecm that was for sale before that required a race licens and I had one went to the track and it didn't help me make more power or that type of thing id be upset. Esp if it just helped my racebikes low speed driveability and more "streetable"as said before

Dannybuell, I would go all the way around.

If You want reliable Bike on fuel come to us. www.twinmotorcycles.nl

We make 1 setup for every slipon and burn that data in your stock ECM.

If you want a ferry tale go to EBR.

It is impossible to make 1 ECM for all slip-ons.
