I wish more people followed the "Buell Values", this world would would be a better place.

I talked to a local cycle shop yesterday and they will run my bike on the dyno for $40. I think I will give it another try now that there are some miles on it. I will do 2 pulls with the stock ecm and 2 with the race ecm and see what happens. Expecting snow again next week so not sure if it will be done then but hopefully soon.

Above is the HP chart. The 3 runs shown were how it went in (Jardine, K7N, stock tune), the initial run with the PCV and the end result of some tuning. On the initial run, it lost signal at low RPMs. Thats were the blue line is missing. I forgot to ask him to put the a/f ratio on the printout. My picture skills leave much to be desired. In case you cant see it, the max HP is 126.86 and max torque is 73.03.

[IMGhttp://img198.imageshack.us/img198/8650/039rm.jpg[/IMG]

Above is the torque chart done in the same configurations as the HP chart.

The bike runs much better and is a lot smoother than it was before. The bike now runs how Buell couldnt make it run. It moves now too. Not as much as power as I wanted, but I told the tuner that rideability was priority over anything else.

Not that anyone cares, but below are the dyno charts from my '02 zx9r. Its bone stock except for a Yoshimura slip on. The 1125r can almost keep up with it now. It kept the a/f ratio like that on carbs that have never been touched, cleaned adjusted before. Max hp is 130.66 and max torque is 66.61.

You picked up a lot of torque down low, I bet it feels better.

I adjusted the color/exposure for you.

Thank you. Im not very good with computers. The bike feels great finally. I want to ride it some more to see how it feels around town. I put about 50 highway miles on it so far. The guy that test rode it after was impressed with the way it was running. I wish it was a little faster, but now Im almost $2k into this thing with mods, including tunes that didnt work out for me. Ill leave well enough alone. I sent you a PM Moose.

Why did your pics show up full size, but mine are reduced?

So you think you'd make more power with the stock exhaust?

Test

Court, maybe if you have given a reason for asking these questions my response would be different... i do not post any digits of any serial number item i own on the net...
Where in my statement did i maul Court?... He asked a question and i answered accordingly.
Now if he had said why he wanted it, then surely i would help him out to help me.
Some of ya'll are stirring the pot for no reason. I also can see i'll be forever tainted on this board as "that guy".

Look flame on if you guys want. I was pissed off, stated my mind and 4.5 pages later some of you guys can't give it up LOL.

Buell has been great so far. i believe they looked at my dyno charts and saw an issue. I mean i got overnight sat delievery from buell Today...inside was another ECM to try out... so lets hope its a fluke and that i got a bad ecm.. if so, then i'll handle my business with buell and praise them accordingly.

As for all the sly comments and picking... keep it coming guys, i'm getting a hell of kick out of it. : D

Did any of you, that believe my methods of testing were screwed up or hate me cause (heaven forbid) i got mad about a product produced by buell and slammed it, see the latest dyno chart that i posted... My methods of testing did nothing to hurt or improve the performance.... its was still running lean with both O2's unplugged/plugged in and a/f sniffer in the tail pipe. so i guess i have a reason to be mad ......right?

I guess i should apoligize for saying the ENTIRE lot of ECM is garbage, but make no mistake, MY ECM in its current state is GARBAGE... Can we all agree on that...
Lets see how this new one does. i have a dyno lined up for monday morning.

^^^^^

Thats why I was hesitant to post my dyno results. They are lower than I expected. Im waiting for someone to say it was operator error or something wrong with the dyno instead of accepting these bikes dont make the power they should for their displacement size.

Beyond that, the hp and torque numbers Im seeing could be caused by the muffler I have on it or a conservative tune since I told the tuner I cared more for reliability than power. It just seems like everyone else in the sportbike business is extracting more power out of smaller engines.

Edit: To clarify, Im not horribly disappointed in the numbers and am very happy with the way the bike runs. I just think its slightly underpowered for its displacement. With the bike running well now, I fell that I will be very happy with out. It still has plenty of power to get out of its own way.

Mike for me, the overall power number didn;t matter i just wanted something that kept the bike from running lean with additional mods.

I need to try this new ecm... maybe it will resolve my issues. in the mean time i enjoy being "that guy" LOL. someone had to to do it, why not me. : D

Oh and mike does the bike feel better? does it seem quicker? dyno numbers truly mean nothing until you do testing on the same dyno before and after. yea your numbers are low, but so were you baseline numbers. so i see a gain either way.

Mike, I am sure you know there is more to HP than just displacement. My 1203cc bike puts down only about 90hp at the wheel. But that is all for another thread : )

J4B, I am glad they got you a new ECM fast, hopefully it was nothing and they got you squared away.

I agree, there are to many pot stirrers on here. I wouldn't worry about being labeled "that guy". There will be another guy along any minute.

It feels like a different bike. The power difference definately surprised me. The peak HP didnt change a lot, but there was a huge jump in some palces. One place the dyno operator highlighted was at 9k rpm, there was a 17hp difference. Right now, Im thrilled with the bike.

Im very aware of that. Your example is why I compared it to other sport bikes. Im not unhappy with the bike at all now. I, as Im sure almost all of us, would love if it had some more power. Dont get me wrong, the bike is definately not slow at all. I guess it was just a small dig at the people here that seem to think the bike is blazing fast. I think it was on another message board, but I saw some guy claim his stock 1125r would keep up with Busas. I dont recall seeing anyone here saying that, but it wouldnt surprise me if something like that was said here at some point.

I have to say I am amazed that J-Banger was able to get a SECOND ECM over nighted, without sending his original one back first. I ordered mine on Monday and haven't even gotten a shipping notice yet. Hmmm, something seems amiss here.

Don't feel bad Maul. I recall his first ECM took a while to arrive. I would expect a rapid response from EBR following a situation like this and I don't fault them for it at all. J4B, hoping the new unit works much better, for everyones sake.

Yes Maul, given my issues, this is why they expedited a new ECM to me. my first one took a few days to get.

I couldn't agree more. My greatest fear for J4B is damage of some kind.

As a longtime Buell owner my leaning curve has been at sites like this. As an 1125 owner this site seems quite strong.

I can't help thinking that the sales potential of anything 1125 related is going to be decided at places like this.

The high visibility of this site likely brought on the Overnight Delivery.

Things are just starting to get exciting.

I wouldn't worry . . . I bought 100 Buell racing hats from a dealer 2 weeks ago and just got the shipping notice from UPS today.

Well today i put the bike back to 100% stock.....

WOW. what a difference. for me atleast, the stock configuration is FEELS MUCH stronger than with all my "goodies". wheelies come easier.

Now just waiting on EBR to get back with me...

I sure wouldn't agree to that. You seem intent on insult and derision rather than productive rational discussion. I frankly don't have much faith in anything you state given your malicious attitude and desire to pull others into your dim view. It speaks to an agenda other than motorcycle tuning.

Gunter,

"Why should disabling O2 sensors make any difference in WOT? It's OL anyway and it's WOT"

Except for the part where they ran the bike for ten minutes in order to warm up the dynamometer.
