I found out that H-D Dallas was selling 1125's for $6999 so I took in my '05 CityX with 35k miles and rode out on a 2009 1125R. Still trying to get used to revving to get it going. Used to the XB's bottom end torque. Loving it so far though.

Welcome to 1125-land.
I think you'll find she'll loosen up a bit after some miles.

Zack is right ... After a couple of hundred miles on my '09R, it will pull away at idle without doing fancy work on the clutch. Great bike - You'll love it!!

I've had a pretty good experience with that dealer, too.

For your service writer, Michelle is wonderful to work with.

Cy is a great tech -- highly recommended. He's had my bike in pretty much every possible mode of disassembly with all the miles, customizations and service I've had done over the past two years.

Smoot knows Buell parts as well as anyone...

i went from a high miles xb9s (25K) miles to an 1125 (CR) as well, except i still have my XB. but yes, the short stroke motor took some getting used to but ive gotten the hang of it now. its also weird calling the XB the 'smooth' bike, as it shakes and rattles a whole lot less.

1st thing i recommend is get your suspension tuned...i was complaining about the handling of the CR being not as good as the XB until i got the suspension sorted out.

It's probably pushing 300k at this point. Still original motor.
