Hi guys! I'm a long time reader/lurker, but now I decided to register myself.
My name is Fernando, i'm from Rome, and I own a wonderful red 1125CR. This is my second Buell, previously I was owner of a Black XB12, but my dealer made me an offer, that i could not refuse..
What else to say about me.. I fully understand english (american ) and i think I can write it too. Last summer I was in California for a long trip on a Mustang: From LA to Vancouver and back across crater lake, yosemite and Sequoia national parks just 'til Vegas, san diego! it was awesome!Hopefully someone can help me sometimes with the languages..
But let the images speaking!
There are finally some news from the old europe!
This is the 1125Vr, tuned by the Dealer from Bergamo, in nord Italy. Presented during the legend on tour - Xr trophy.
it looks fantastic!

full discussion here:

http://www.forumtools.biz/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11177

and that's mine:

in the Beautiful Toscana..

finally, my loved XB..

hi Court nice to meet you! as far as i remeber you are a friend of the tribu6800 buell riders in italy!
What to say about the earthquake.. it's very sad, big trouble still to come. Many people loose their life and more than 50.000 are now homeless. In Rome we had no problem, the center was about 150 miles from me, but we heard it well at 3.30am.
Sad.
@Bobup: VR it's how they call it! maybe it stands for Vetroresina..Fiberglass! LOL
@Boogiman1981 : i think it's still a prototype.

Very good friend. They are an amazing group of wonderful people. I tried to contact Giorgio this morning. They have been wonderful to Erik on his visits and are a fun bunch.

By the way . . we are holding Eduardo in Miami and we're keeping him in the USA.

No it is a Moto Rumi Junior, a 125cc two stroke twin made in Begamo in the 1960's. I bought mine in Perugia when I was a student there.

Who makes those radiator covers? They look very nice.

No worries . . Jon and I were around when they were still arguing about what shape to make the wheels!

The round thing . . . over time . . has turned out to have been a good choice and rides so much better!

I think this is a mod made by the Harley dealer from Bergamo. For the moment i don't have other informations for price, availability and production.
for the moto rumi junior.. it was just too difficult! in the sixties my father was just born! and in italy we have a lot of historic little motorcycle brands..

Carbon,

dunno about price and availability. All I can say is that these covers are a custom fabrication made (or designed) from the Harley Davidson dealer of Bergamo in italy. And these were presented during the harley XR trophy in Varano circuit.
Maybe they 'll sell it soon or later!
But here I have to make a clarification: here in italy the various Buell Communities on the internet ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LIKE the 1125 motorcycles.
The question is still about the non conformist look, which a lot of people define ugly and awful and about the motor. For the most Buell fans a Buell without HD engine isn't a real Buell, but a KTM or an Aprilia!
That's fun, neh? I mean, here in the USA it seems that nobody cares about that, and it's a problem for us in italy!
I have to thanks the BWB for all the good infos posted: from the denoiding, to the clutch leaking and the various reflashes.
In italy the discussion about 1125 techinc does not exit, and it's very sad.

If they could make a 45 deg single pin motor that would make 150 hp without grenading, that IS what I would prefer. But this is what we got, and it kicks ass. All they really have to do it ride one. It will come!

@Redbuelljunkie: yes we are known for our taste in design, but I think Buell is still different in every sense, in a special way. Ducati a and MV are probably the best cool loking bikes, and probably the ducati is the best performing bike in the world. But i think that Buell is really building bikes around the rider. 1125 and Xb's are so fun! with all this massive amount of torque troughout the line! Fashion and design is, in most cases, all about money and superficial looking. And, ducati streetfighter cost 3000euros more than a 1125!
@Ebear: thank you and thank to all badwebbers for your feelings of nearness (it's a neologism i think LOL hope you guys can understand it). It's all so sad. Really it was not a big big earthquake, but here in italy is everything so old.. and this let the earthqueke doi a lot of damage. So many people lost their homes, and the number of people killed is increasing until 200.
During my trip I visited California, Oregon, washington, Canada and then nevada.. but the route 101, the coastal highway, let me miss my bike! But Italy is the perfect place for every buell addicted biker.. big curves and mountains everywhere!
The parks were so beautiful: crater lake in orgon was magic, the yosemite was cool too, but too many people in august! And the sequoia, oh this was one of the coolest places ever visited.. as beautiful as Macchu Picchu!
I Even met AL from American Sport Bike in Vista, Ca! really nice guy!
I surely want to come back in california, that's a lovely place, and i love the USA!
Before i die I have to ride from Ushuaia in Chile until Anchorage in alaska.. in a BMW obviously LOL!

ueeeeee`, ciuciu`, che fai pure qua?!?!?!?!?!
here we go Palmer, a good friend from Italy, and my buddy on the other side of the globe at Tribu` 6800! welcome...
and congrats for your English, I didn't know it was even better than mine!
he knows a lot about Buells, I'm sure you guys will have a lot to discuss about 1125R/CR, he's a fanatic... well not like me, but almost!!! LOL
I'm sure the guys here would have appreciated the mods made from HD Bergamo, they're very tasteful, I must say.
but my question is: will those scoops be useless like that? they definitely look amazing, but as far as the cooling thing, they look pretty small and not doing their proper job, as we also said at Tribu` forum.
we'll see, good thing is that always more companies are trying to find an alternative solution for those scoops, recognized not beautiful from most of the customers.
I'm gonna be waiting for the good ones to show on the market, before to do my step and become a proud owner of my 4th Buell!
the Ghost Ride, my S1 and my new X1 project will be very grateful....

We are THRILLED to have you here and there is some very good, and up to date information on the Buell 1125R and 1125CR.

If there is anything you need to know ask . . . there are a lot of folks here who are very fluent with the 1125.

Also, just to let you know, there are efforts going on in New York City today to provide supplies and relief to the folks in Rome. Our hears are with you guys.

Palmer - get used to the leak.
Wipe it off every few days and watch your clutch fluid level.

Supposedly there is a working fix coming soon.
The design has some issues, most of ours leak some.

I have over 17k miles on mine and have had to add fluid twice only.

Zack

BTW - welcome from Colorado!
