Do ya'll think powder coating would hold up on the heat shield, ant body have an idea of how hot it get at full temp?

I don't know. I have one from American Sport Bike with the ceramic coating. I'm happy with it.

mine has been powder coated since the day we left for homecoming. plenty of street riding and 2 track days later it still looks new.

I mirror polished the inside of mine then sprayed the outside with 1200 degree BBQ paint.

Without the mirror polish it still got very hot.

I didn't go as far as mirror polish, but did buff the inside to a dull shine. Painted the outside with the ceramic-based header paint and baked in the oven at 400 degrees for 4 hours, according to the instructions on the can. Holding up great!

I have had mat black powder coat on mine and its fine after 1500 miles (approx) Did a lot of stuff with powder coat and its all holding up I like the blacked out look.

I plan on doing a lot in white to match the bike, want to add color under the frame (D&D exhaust end cap, header cover, passenger fot peg brackets, heel gaurds and the plastic block behind the rear header). Already painted the front pulley cover, looks much diffrent now.

Hmmmmm, I've been thinking that the muffler would look good with a gloss black powder coat. Thanks for the info, I'll keep that in mind this winter.
