HOLY...M_____.... F_____.... S#!T !!!

That's the sexiest freakin' bike I've seen in a LOOOOONG time (and yes, I shopped online though all the brands like last week). If only the seat was as padded as my Ss, I'd be looking at a trade in. That, and if they worked out the fueling issues. I was iffy on the R pods, but I LOVE them with the bikini fairing!

I understand it probably won't satisfy everyone, but they sure as hell got me!

Damn!

SM - just order the Buell Tour seat when you order your CR.

Fueling issues are getting better, at 11,400, Loretta is smooth as silk.
The coming ECM flash should make it even better.

Gotta agree with you. I'm stopping by my dealer by the weekend to find out when they get their first one and see about putting a deposit down.

I wonder if the insurance would be any lower for the CR than the R? That will be the only thing keeping me from buying on next year. I just got my XB9S but it might have to go for a down payment on my first ever brand new bike.

Swordsman'

I've got a 12Ss and a 1125R. The 1125 is WAY more comfortable for long rides

So, get down to your dealer

Xbswede,

I first read that you were getting rid of your wife, so you could get a new Buell! LOL!

Proves again, the devil is in the details!

"I first read that you were getting rid of your wife, so you could get a new Buell! LOL!"

Hmm.. that would free up some dough. LOL

But no, she has volunteered to sell her Sportster so I can replace my XB12Ss that I wrecked about 5 weeks.

I do agree with Swordsman. I actually like the CR.}

My concerns in moving up to liquid-cooled Buell are:

- Insurance
- Maintenance
- Tire Wear
- Long Ride Comfort
- Too Much Power

What were your experiences coming from an XB?

i fall under the "trade my xb for cr? dillema"......
i already went down to my local shop and let them know i am interested......but i need to see the bike in person sit on it and see if it talks to me and tells me "ride me home".

to the 1125r peeps that previously owned a xb are you glad you made the change?
does the 1125r really get worse gas millage than a xb.
are they commuter friendly bikes?
thanks.

I traded my 12Ss in on my 11. I am glad I made the change. I average 35mpg on the 11, I averaged 47 on the XB. I am commuting to work this morning. I live in Florida, and yes the bike gets hot - hotter than the XB.

The power and the handling make it all worth it. Mine runs smoothly, and is giving me no trouble. I am loving the bike.

I traded my XB9R to my brother and replaced it with the first 1125R on the road in Colorado.

No regrets, best machine I've EVER ridden.

Made the 9R feel primitive and awkward when I rode it again a few months ago.

I've went from an XB12R to the 1125R and love it!

The gas mileage difference sucks, especially since my biggest selling point to my self was that getting another bike (been without for a year) would help with fuel consumption. Well, not as much as I was hoping, lol. I routinely got 50-55 on my XB and now I get 34-38 on the 25R.

And as far as commuter, that kinda depends. Highway rides are great. Anything around town with lots of stops gets HOT, plus the bike doesn't like to be lugged around. If you wanna ride in a lower gear to keep the RPMs up, fine, lol.

But yeah, I have absolutely no regrets. I'm going to be taking my bike on a 1400-mile jaunt in 4 weeks (South Dakota to D.C.) so I'm not scared of distance (just got bags, and Firebolt Custom Seat and Traction handle-bar grips are on the way) Plus while I'm out there, I'll have the bike all over the city and out in the hills. It'll be great!

And then you'll still be 30hp short.

I'm curious how folks are going to do with this ECM reflash (or with the 2009 models) as far as gas mileage. This is my only hangup in my decision. Waiting to see if it improves to the claimed numbers.

"And then you'll still be 30hp short."

110 or 115 HP are enough on german roads (except "Autobahn")! so i don´t care about liquid cooled buells.

Well, my girlfriend's Ninja 250 will hum along on the interstate all day, so I guess 33hp is "enough" for American roads, lol.

I've never felt limited by the power of my XB, but that doesn't mean I don't want more!

I like the bikini fairing on the CR. I would have liked it if Buell would have gone farther with it. I just see an S1 style back with that radical looking front.

1 Insurance
2 Maintenance
3 Tire Wear
4 Long Ride Comfort
5 Too Much Power

1- insurance is an individual thing. I pay the same as I did for my BMWR11S. And it is just a tad more than my XB9R
2- easy, which is same as XB (Haven't done valves yet)
3- You're on it, tires will wear. Commuting, same as XB
4- Same as my BMW. Lots of stuff available to improve the comfort
5- "Too much power is never enough" -Carol Shelby. If the mags highlights anything positive, it is the nice delivery of power.

Asbjorn's quite right.
1- about the same as my XB12R was.
2- except for checking coolant it's the same as the XB12R for now. In the long run the valves and cooling system will add to it but not a lot.
3- too many variables. Seems to be doing quite well though for now. Could be better or worse than my XB12 did.
4- Far better than the XB12R. Period.
5- Not at all. It's easy to ride it the way you want with no surprises. You can dial the power you want with your right hand. Most of the time I never put down any more steam than I did with the XB12. Then again you can crank it on and still no surprises but gobs of smooth power. Feels like what you would think the XB12 would feel like if it could rev to 10.5 k.

1 - About the same as my XB9R
2 - same, basic service items, valves are going to be interesting, next month.
3 - MUCH better. Best on XB was 4300 miles on a Dunlop 208 and a bit more on an M3 Sportec.
I've got 5500 miles on rear #2 and 11.6k on the front.
4 - more than 900 miles in one day, coming back from Homecoming
5 - Almost looped it a few times at sea level, but I live at a little over 5,000' ASL.
