We (our service dept) just got our copy of the official 1125r electrical diagnostic manual, 4/22/08.

Crossing my fingers that the service manual is following closely behind!!

It's printed and bound, softcover of course.
I touched one last Friday at the dealership.
Then I went to "parts" and ordered/paid for one of each, Electrical and Service.
Now I wait.

Picked up my personal copy yesterday.
I was reading till I fell asleep...

Cool stuff I didn't know:

The check engine light will tell you if there's any codes when you first turn the key on -
CEL for 4 seconds then off - no codes
CEL for 4 sec, off 4 sec then on 8 sec then off - historics
CEL for 4 sec, off 4 sec then on(stays on) - current error condition, maybe historics too.

The ECM and the Instrument Cluster have the VIN in their PROM memory.
If you replace the dash(IC) the ECM will write the VIN after 30 minutes to allow verification of the new IC to fix the problem.
Don't buy a used ECM or IC, it will carry someone else's VIN.

The ECM has 2 comm lines -
One for the Digital Tech II to plug into and the other is the CAN bus that's used to program the ECM(can you say ECM Spy?)

Enough teasers, get one.
