On the 14th of December, I got the call that my bike was being pulled off the truck.
It was not 20 minutes after I got off the phone with Ann at B/HD customer service.
I called her trying to find out where my 1125 was....

Picked mine up today, #683. Weather didnt permit my taking her cherry today, but the first chance I get....

I thought it was kinda cool how the smoke split the rear wheel while it was idling.

Just went yesterday and finished the paper work on mine and paid the remaining $957 I owed on it. 12,952.38 out the door here in MN.

#315, now I have to just wait for them to fix the scratched pod and broken mirror that i got from shipping. Should have it delivered to my place just after the new year....Wish I could ride it home but we have like 2 feet of snow and it wont stop snowing...

The 1125R came in yesterday, but due to recent snowy weather, they were unable to do the check ride and would not release the bike. Unfortunately the dealership is closed until Wed. But once the roads clear up a bit they are delivering the bike to my house for free. (approx 60 miles away) Thats service! And don't have to worry about starting the break in cycle on the Interstate. The wait is killing me!

Also, I finally was able to hear the bike in person ... absolute beast!

Freekin Scarry Awesome! Picked mine up yesterday, #220. Rode to work today, very cold out, heated grips are first class as well as is the fairing. Traded (gave away) my XB9S but it was a good trade. Very happy! Be very careful when working around the intakes, a fella could loose an arm in those things!

Just passed 620 miles today, 631 actually.

Rolled into the garage, did the first service and filled in the blanks in the manual.

Now I can start looking for that rev-limiter.

Picked mine up today. It came in a couple weeks ago while I was out of the country. I was quite surprised when I saw the VIN (#105) and can't figure out why it took so long to get here. Can't complain though, I'm tickled pink to finally have it. Not to mention having the 4th one to roll off the line. Well actually 5th if you count the one that went to the HD Museum.

Zac4mac what did you do other than change the oil, I changed the oil at 40 miles and then 200 when I got the filters then 400 and think I will now wait till 800 then do another one then at 1500 I will take it to my dealer to check it out and then switch to syn oil, also I read that it is 16000 or 18000 before shimming the valves, is this right, or is it like the oil capacity were everyone is unsure. Book says check shims at 12000 miles. Who knows how long they will last? Just check, replace if necessary.

The bikes do come with SYN3 from the factory. SYN3 quarts are printed with the note, suitable for break in on all HD motors. (or some such)

I'm going with SYN3 all the way. Was very happy with it in the XB9S. There are, as far as I know, very few dino oils that don't use some sort of semi synthetic base stock these days. Like I said, only as far as I know. I could very likely be mistaken.

Mike - for the services, just use the grid in the back of the owner's manual.
I just went by the list and checked them off as I went.
Clutch fluid level threw me for a second, till I remembered the reservoir on the handlebars... d'oh!
Had to re-use the cleaned out oil filter.
We still don't have any out here.
HC-HD/B should have filters this week.
When they DO get here, I'll change oil again.
I've got 6 qts of Syn3 in the garage, waiting...

Mine is #612, purchased at Seminole Buell Shop. Still in early break-in at 200 miles. No problems whatsoever with the bike.

HI Zack I have read allot of articals on breaking in a motor that I do not know which way is right, but they say to use reg oil intell 1500 to 2000 miles and then switch to syn oil, I did a post on here to see if anyone knew of these alternet break in procedures, and they say change the oil after fifty miles because the metal particals can clog the filter and that the first fifty miles is the most important, I did my first on at almost fifty and had to clean the filter to, I then changed it again when I got my filters which was almost 200, and now I have five hundred and deciding when to again probably 600 and then at 1500 which I will switch to lucas 20/50 syn racing oil in pep boys, on the back of the bottle it says exspecially good for turbo charged care and harley davidson, and cost 7 or 8 a qt and easy to get, then will change the oil every 2000 miles. I HATE BREAKING IN A BIKE. Mike

Mike - I hope you're going to homecoming.
I'd love to knock down some beers and swap stories with you.

You're almost done, ride hard, but under the 7500 rev limit for a little more.

Loretta's little issues are going away one by one as we get used to each other.

17˚ outside, time to ride to work.
Ride safe

Zack

Careful near your wheel bearings Mike, pressure washers can kill them.
Loretta has only had a couple of sponge baths so far.

Paid for it on 1/17/08, it's still on display at the dealership, Silver Eagle HD/Buell, with a big SOLD sign on it!!

I figured they might as well keep it nice, warm and dusted off as the weather here has been terrible.

Tim,

What's worse is the race bike is on display right next to the 1125!

I'm trying to get all the other stuff done over the winter so once the weather breaks, all I have to do is RIDE!!

Note that my race bike, 902, is sporting a new 1125 fairing

#679 purchased from Destination HD/Buell in Puyallup, WA on 1/15/2008 with 4 miles on the clock.

1st service at Downtown HD/Buell in Tukwila, WA (1.7 miles from work) 1 week later on 1/22 at 664 miles. Service tech put 6 miles on it. Damn joyrider...

Nearly to 1,000 miles today.
Really loving my lady Victoria...

Oh, and I got her for a base price of $12,650.
They gave me a bit of a loyalty discount since this is the 3rd bike I've purchased from the dealer since July 2007.
