Yea, it seems unlikely we'll see anything today unless there's another press release or they update the website.

As of 10:30 AM EDT today, EBR.com still hasn't been updated. The press is (hopefully) in East Troy today, so they won't post anything until tomorrow, and by that time the public will be there and hopefully posting mast quantities of photos and info for the rest of us.

Did the promised announcement from last week ever materialize or did I misread that?

I have not seen any new announcements in the past 2 weeks.

^ Quoting from the LAP press release of 2 weeks ago:

quote:

Prices and other information are expected to be released next week.

Nothing came out last week, or this week (so far) for that matter, but they didn't say "will be released", they said "are expected to be released", so they didn't really promise.

Damn, I've been listening to politicians too long.

EBR did post this to Facebook on Monday, March 14:

There was this as well:

By Troy Siahaan March 14, 2016
EBR announced on March 1 it was resuming production at its East Troy, Wisconsin headquarters. In that announcement, EBR also announced the first 2016 production bike would be rolling off the production line March 17 – an event open for any accredited motorcycle press to attend.

EBR has now released new information, stating that, along with the first new models to roll off the production line, it will also be unveiling “special patriotic limited production bikes.” Lastly, EBR will also be revealing its dealer network for 2016.

More information regarding the limited production motorcycles and dealer network will be unveiled as we receive it.

Update- I think they HAVE made some recent updates to EBR.com.

The front page pretty much looks unchanged from ~1 month ago with a yellow 2014 RX and a rider in full leathers, and the heading "Tune In for 2016 EBR updates", however, if you go to the sub-pages, there are a few changes.

-Under motorcycles, if you go to the SX or RX pages, they say "EBR Motorcycles gives you the 2016..." at the top. I don't see any changes in the specs, not even "bold new colors", and there's no MSRP listed yet.

-If you click on the "store" link, it takes you to LAP's website with ordering instructions and the link for downloading the price list for available parts.

-If you click on "race team", a great pic of Nic Canepa on his first test of the RX at Jennings, FL shows, and it says "EBR Motorcycles will soon be announcing support programs for private and professional racers. Please check back often for more information about these programs and how to participate" below. All the old WSBK pics and info are gone.

-The "dealers" page now says "Check back for updates on 2016 dealers near you!". The old dealer list is still there below, but at the top it says "2014-2015 EBR dealers". Perhaps they're hoping that buyers will contact former EBR dealers which might encourage them to re-enlist.

-The "careers" page says they're looking for a development sourcing engineer and an electrical systems engineer. I'm not sure if these are old or recent.

At any rate, it's encouraging to see SOME changes on the page.

$12,995 for the SX and $13,995 for the RX.

They also posted a pretty cool video to Facebook showing a couple of guys putting an SX and RX through their paces in the mountains of California.

This deal looks more "workable" by the day.

At those prices ...... It'll be impossible to beat the EBR on value.

There are 3 elements ..... Quality, customer service/engagement, dealer service/relations that have to fall into place to make this work.

Looking at the very familiar faces in that group photo I'd say 70 - 80% of the team is present.

Congratulations to the Elves at EBR!

EBR Motorcycles will be producing two models to start, the 1190SX and 1190RX. The models will have an MSRP of $12,995 and $13,995 respectively. Smith said those prices are slightly lower than where Erik Buell Racing was selling them previously.

“We have reduced the prices a little bit, but it’s mostly market driven,” Smith said.

That's where it should have been from the beginning, IMO. I still bought one at $19k though, it was a worthwhile purchase at the time. Assuming they have 300+ unfinished bikes there, I think they (LAP) will make up their purchase price of the company if they sell at anything over $10k a bike.

Someone needs to buy about 50 RX's and start a rent to race spec class.

If only I could take ten to twenty years off my age I would be on one of these two models in a heartbeat and at the asking price its a real bargain. Anybody else feel at all similar?.......and the beat goes on.

^ Bob- put some low pegs on the SX and dial the traction control up a few notches, and I'm sure you'd be fine.

"the asking price its a real bargain. Anybody else feel at all similar?"

I do not. I think even at these lower prices they are going to have a lot of difficulty selling bikes. My reason for this,is their reputation was absolutely destroyed by last years fiasco.

I hope I am proven wrong.
