Just a heads up, those of you that are not signed up on the Sport Twin email list now is the time to do so as we are getting very close to releasing the new Sport Twin site. The new site is a huge leap forward from the old site is guaranteed to knock your drawers off (for those of you that wear them).

When we release the new site I will be sending out an email to list members with Grand Opening discounts that you don't want to miss. Lot's of new products too! Oh, I almost forgot....... you Harley guys get a new site too! :)

Brad,
That's great, but does it also mean that this time you will actually reply to my emails and phone calls when I try to buy a discounted item?
I still want to buy that seat at the discount that you offered your subscribers some months ago......

Brad, all your products say: "This product is not available outside the USA.". I'm in Canada. Can I still buy stuff from you?

Cheers

Does anyone remember a white, really good lookin Buell that appeared on the board a couple of months ago? I remember that there was a debate going wether it was a heavily modified M2 or an S1. It really looked like an S1, with a single sided swingarm, Öhlins USD etc. Someone mentioned that the "giveaway" was the right lower frametube, which was bent (as on an M2).

Was it an M2 or an S1?? I've seen the bike on another site and it was refered to as an S1! (and I'm curious..).

Peter - one of the things we have improved upon is customer service, instead of Derek being a one man show and way over burdened, we now have Derek and Blake that are soley customer service and are officed at my location with American Web Host. We even have space dedicated for more customer service folks. I will check on the seat if I can find some history, seems like you wanted a seat that we were out of and the sale was for in stock items only...or something like that, email me at brad@sporttwin.com.

Kahuna - That is the way the current store is configured for a variety of reasons. In the new the store you will be able to place orders to Canada.

I remember the bike, and it did have the bent tube, which characterizes it as a 99 or higher bike. No S1's were made past 98, so it couldn't be an S1. Note that M2s prior to 99 also had the straight tube.

Note,
The "Blake" mentioned above of Sport Twin Customer Service is not me. His handle here is some nasty sounding mucusy description, "Pigsnot" if I recall? Maybe not the best handle for a customer service rep. But we'll judge him by his actions, not his nickname. If his first name is any indication, we're in big trouble. :]

Ferrys, you're right. Big thumbs-up to the folks making this site so great. A must for any Buell lover.

By the way, I've just seen on a french Buell forum that there's a german company which will soon provide a PRIMARY BELT DRIVE for BUELLS. Check it out at the following url. Any technical comments on this initiative ? Should this bring less inertia to the Buell engine or is it just a gadget giving a neat look of the left part of the engine ?

Fess up, the 3 of you, and e-mail me your addresses so I can impose your sentence before I leave.

The good news is....Dr. Henrik's patch design and Pammy's slogan team to make an AWESOME patch!

Now fess up !

Jerome...that belt drive looks awesome. Now if it adds some kind of improved performance without a lot of complexity it might be worth the cost...which will no doubt be substantial. Thanks for the link.

I just found out yesterday that motorcycles aren't allowed in my parking area. Looks like my girlfriend may get yet another roommate!

Rick,
You should find out why. In most cases, it is illegal to restrict motorcycles from lots as they are licensed motor vehicles.

Some of you may recall me writing in for help diagnosing a general "poor carbureation" problem I was having with my X1- bogging at W.O.T. and occasionally cutting out, sort of like dropping a cylinder.
I don't believe I mentioned that I had just had to replace the voltage regulator in the midst of this poor performance episode-
Anyway, after checking all things I thought were obvious I put the stock ECM back on instead of the race ECM.
I no longer have any problems at all. That is, no problems except for the weaker midrange hit and the lower rev limit, but the bike is back to its stump pullin', wheelie poppin' old self again!
So, maybe the ECM got fried when the V.R. went? Not really sure, but I've been on the stock ECM for a week and a half now, waiting for the problem to come back, and since it hasen't, I guess it must have been the race ECM lost its mind.
Ever heard of that before?

Bent, sure have heard of that. On my Dyna I run the screaming eagle ignition module, same basic principle. Anyways earlier this year it was sputtering & then would run fine, then it would run like crap again. Checked a few things out & finally decided to pop in another ignition module I had laying around. Like magic all the problems went away.

Hi ya lot. First visit, feel like a bit of a roockie. Live in Belgium and proudly own an orange M2 since Jan 02. Started out with Suz Bandit, GSX 750, then Dyna Wide Glide but I've never felt like this before. Buell absolutely rules, a shame though that I seem to be the only one in this country.

Bull, I believe the White bike you are referring to is owned by one of our members in the UK, Squiz. The bike was originally a '98 S1WL, but following a crash was rebuilt with a '99 M2 frame. The are many trick bits on the bike and I think one the few original parts on the bike is the speedo, because he had engine trouble too. It is a very cool bike.

Bob, you can use the translation tool at www.altavista.com, there's a line where you can enter directly the url and it will be translated from german to english. Not perfect but enough to understand what they say.

Thanks for the advice guys, but basically only SUV's and passenger vehicles are allowed on the lot. The bi-laws specifically state no RV's, trailers, boats or motorcycles. It's an unwritten rule that trucks are not allowed, either. Unfortunately her parents own this building...too bad they don't own the lot. I wouldn't want to cause them too much flak. It's one of those pretty upscale neighborhoods where people apparently don't appreciate some of the finer things in life . My GF is afraid we'll get booted by the management if we put the bike in the apartment...but there's no frikkin' rule saying I can't. I'm not about to use my mountainbike to ride miles to a storage space or rented garage every morning...that's for sure. I'd fight it legally if I wasn't down to nickels and dimes . They also don't allow working on vehicles in the lot. Oh wells. They can kiss my keister.
