The Blast has been sitting in the garage for the last year. Last year while riding, I heard a load pop and it died.

A little history. Shortly after getting the bike the ignition module stopped working. I replaced it and everything started working. 6 months later the above situation occurred. I have have bypassed the clutch, kickstand and BAS. I have spark, the ignition lights are flashing. All lights, horn, signals work. When spraying starter fluid in carb, you see it igniting when starting, but will not turn over. It actually backfires and blew the coupler off.

Any ideas for next steps?

What kind of clamp is on the boot?

If it won’t run with starting fluid you have problems mechanical or the timing is off.
Make sure your ignition module and rotor is tight (no, not super tight, just not loose).

Do a compression test.

What are those un insulated wires?
