I have a suspicion of what the problem may be , but I'd like to hear if anyone else has this issue. What happening is I'm getting a lot of air pressure built up in the oil tank . I've even had oil come gushing out when I remove the dipstick ! Its much worse when the engine and oil is cold , so I'm suspecting that as the oil pump is running , its sucking in air from one of stock junk oil hose clamps and forcing air and oil into the tank . I also have a lot of air bubbles in the oil " in the tank" . I replaced most of the stock hose clamps but still have a few on . honestly I can't think of any other reason this would be happening . I never had the oil gush out until today , but considering its about 40 degrees out and I still have 20w50 still in the bike this makes sense. The oil is colder so it is harder for the pump to circulate the oil , therefore the pump is forced to suck in more air from the loose clamps. After the oil warms up it isn't all that bad but I still have air build up in the tank. There should be no extra air being built up in the system as long as its completely sealed. Any thoughts ? I replaced three more of the stock oil hose clamps with better clamps and its much better . I'm still getting a little bit of air buildup but not nearly as much . I'm going to get some high temp silicone and seal all the attachments but the pump and filter. | ||

The crankcase vent looks good . I'll have to keep an eye on it to see if it gets worse again. |
