Hey everyone!

I used to ride a Ulysses but sold it last year to finish up a major house remodel before my 1st was born.

I've been eyeing the Blasts for a quite a while and I think it would be perfect for my commute, short trips and general bombing around town.

Anyone do two-up riding?

My wife and I are combined are about 260 lbs, I'm 5'9" and she's 5'7". Any two up would be city streets and backroads.

My wife refuses to ride the BLAST! again ... we went on several short rides in town ... couple miles in a town of only 4,600 people. Our regular two up ride is a Honda Goldwing ... pretty different. The little BLAST! is my commute bike though ... great with saddlebags for local errands and trips to the grocery store ... 2-4 mile trips ...though I have ridden 80 miles in a day. Custom SARGENT saddle and saddlebags.

I havent had any issues riding two up at a little beyond your combined weight. I havent done it a lot however, but I was surprised at how capable the Blast was!

Blast vs Goldwing?? - I cant understand your wife at all!!!!!

I think my wife thinks that her fanny is slightly wider than the rear end of the little BLAST! ... that's why she doesn't like it ... that and the fact that there is no backrest to prevent her from sliding off the bike. The Goldwing has an enormous saddle ... wider than either of us ... and it makes you feel slender. Dixie & I together weigh about 310.

...and if any of this ever gets back to Dixie, I'm dead ...

My wife loved riding two-up on the Uly, obviously the Blast won't be as comfortable.

About the longest we would ride would be about an hour and a half (covering about 70 miles), stopping as needed.
