Primary too loose? Rings not spaced/gaped right? - did you ride it around or just started it and shut it off?

I went to start it just hit the ignition and I could hear it so I stopped. Bike won't start either. All I hear is the scraping sound and I can see a few shiny metal flakes.

Ok dumb question but I just bike the motor all the way down and now need to know how to check the rings. I didn't see anything in the jug that made it look like anything was scraping.

Where did you see the metal flakes?

Did you make sure the end gap on the rings was correct?
Did you get all of the rings in the correct spot?
Did you get a wrist pin circlip out of place?
Are there scrapes on the piston or on the cylinder?

I thought i responded to this already. I tore the motor back down and found that i was missing one bolt on the rocker box... Put the motor back together and boom no more sound and bike starts up... Thank you for your help. and there was no damage done to the motor either.
