The local dealer is quoting me $313 for a stock muffler.

Can anyone comment in this item, which quiets a Jardine exhaust? It says "Jetting may be required." Why?

Thank you for your offer. I've been thinking about it for a day. I think because the stock exhaust, which I really prefer for appearances, is such a pain to remove and it blocks the tranny drain plug, I think I will go aftermarket.

I wouldn't mind buying an OEM exhaust for future use but I'm afraid shipping from California to Indiana would be pretty steep ...

The Jardine with the quiet core is certainly not as quiet as the stock exhaust, but it's quite acceptable IMO. It's roughly comparable to the stock 1125 exhaust - audible, but not obscene.
