I am kicking around removing all the plastic around the rear tire and drive belt on my blast. My only question is all my wires and some of the battery would be open to spray up from the back tire if riding in the rain. Is this something to worry about or is everything weather proof enough?

I had no rear fender/hugger on mine for 8K miles & never experienced a problem. I try not to but I do ride in the rain if I have to.

I've rode in all that stuff and gravel and no problems!

It's going to get crud & spray anyway in the wet.

Take it off & enjoy the look!

Besides, removing it is unsprung weight reduction. It's practically mandatory on Buells! : D
