So I am looking for a tire on Ebay as Ihave my taxes back and new rear and new belt are in my near future then rest bays bills, trailer off and such. Got a Michelin Gold Class 140/70-16S for 49.99 shipped so we will see, heck even if its a P Ill run it till I get up enough to order another. Some say they dont grip but a friend of mine loves his on his big scooter/bike. Hes even used the City Grip on his wifes and they put some serious miles on them. BIG units they ride seem to stick well wet or dry and decent mileage. so for the price Im in for a little while, supposedly coming from Illinois so I hope to have by Mondayish. Ill post pics and thoughts as I get some riding in, it is still fairly cold here so may be a few weeks. |

They are still listed as a long life touring tire, and even their reviews say they are skittish in the corners. When they first came out they where cutting edge for scooters, now, 10 years later, they are not. Still probably better than the Dunlop. The City Grip on the other hand are new and may have promise - will have to wait for someone to try them. Have fun! |

Not really - it was just the stock item for the first six years of the Blasts life - a shit tire - by any standards. EZ |

I dunno my front dunlop was ok but I rarely push it but after new wheel and sprocket and new Pirelli in 08 my Blast with dunlop on fron was eating a GSXR 600 on corners, I just hope the bike gets around and if tire lasts even 8k its an improvement. I am getting 4000 plus from rear Pirellis so who knows ,,besides it was only $49.99 shipped so it it goes 3kto4k its a good deal. cant be any worse than what dunlops were! And I got my bike with new one and it made over 4k miles. |
