Try a full shift pawl adjustment - your only hope - otherwise the case needs splitting and gears replaced -

If I over-rev and shift at higher RPM's I cannot get it into second, and have to wait for the RPM's to drop before I can dump it back down to 1st (from N)and then quickly back up to 2nd. The only way to avoid this is to shift (what feels like very) 'early' into 2nd from first. It feels like I have to do this before I even get the clutch all the way out for 1st.

When I try to go into 2nd at high RPM's it makes a 'Rattling' sound, you can just hear the gears bouncing off each other.

I don't know maybe you have the same problem I do and you won't have to crack your case and switch gears. Just try shifting earlier than normal and see if that helps. Good Luck!, Thump
