I pulled the head off my Blast because I have been losing oil for the past year. I just got the valves out and the exhaust side is much shorter than the other and melted. The intake side looks spankin brand new.I bought the bike in 2008,it was a 2003 with 14 miles. After a couple months I installed a k&n air filter.Someone already installed a 45 and 170 jets before i got it.I have not touched the timing. Why did my exhaust side valve guide melt?
Thanx Colin

Don't worry Cliffburton, it is never stupid to ask questions. It is stupid to NOT ask questions.

I think "boob" posts are very important, I have a few on here. Anyway, They are great for new riders/wrenchers to read so they can eliminate possible problems while trouble shooting.

Wish me luck.
