Im not too sure where to post this, it will probably be posted again. Whenever i lean my blast while riding, the bike is very shaky, when i lean it upright, it is smooth. My tires are relatively new. Does anyone have any idea whats going on? | ||

Roysbuell - I have not ridden a 12, however I bought a 9 about 2 weeks ago and I can say that I am 120% happy with my decision. I still love my Blast and alot of features about it, but I can definitely say you'd be happy with the XB. I know the 12's are slightly heavier than the 9's, but I have found that my XB is extremely close to the Blast as far as being able to toss it around. Not to mention, its fun to see how long you can ride on one wheel...LoL hope that helps!  | ||

Thumper62, make sure you have proper air pressure in your tires. Then I would start messing with the suspension. Thicker fork oil and more preload on the rear shock. OK, I just got a Ulysses XT and it is a real highway cruiser, when you start off in first you had better be ready to be moving.....real tall gearing, I was doing some figure 8's in a parking lot and wasn't able to scrape the pegs....yet. Great bike out on the highway, huge seat, probably fits three comfortably, you are not locked in to one position when riding it. For ripping around town and even out on the highway I still think the Blast can honestly hold its own and do everything that the Uly does only in a much smaller and lighter package. | ||

Hey, Could anyone tell me where Krid80 got his mirrors from or where i could get mirrors that looked similar in shape, maybe even lower. I cant stand "mickey mouse ears" and i am not liking bar-ends. I have tried pm'ng him and he has not responded. Thanks guys! | ||

Thanks, My tires are not new, but still have a decent amount of tread left. I will check into balancing them. Also, I was looking closely at the bearings and i noticed a bit of red leakage around the front axle, could this be a sign of things to come? I appreciate all the help! Maybe after a few months, I will be able to help others...lol | ||

62....if you have old original dunlops on the bike, it sure is not helping matters. Double check the wheel bearings and the steering head bearings...looseness in any of those places will make it handle horrible...make sure you don't have a loose tie link...and check the front isolator... Even then, the bike will wiggle a bit when crossing paint stripes while leaned over. | ||

They are not the original dunlops, but they ARE dunlops that the PO put on b4 me. What tire size specs and what brand would be the best to replace? Maybe a bit smaller. | ||

Ok, I was noticing that what was on the front are Dunlop 100/80-16, and 120/80-16 on the rear. Will that make too big of a difference? Also, I went into a motorcycle shop and it would cost 77.96 for the front tire and all together would be 123 and some change (Just for the Front tire to be put on including price of tire) is this decent, or should i look elsewhere? | ||

If you like stock, go Pirelli MT-75. They only come in the Blast size. Your best bet is to buy the tires yourself, get someone to mount them, then reattach the pulley yourself with new screws. I'll second Indybuell with the Dynabeads. That way, you can avoid the whole balancing issue altogether. EZ's suggested tires above will make a noticeable difference in ride and handling. Most agree that it's a big improvement. That is a scooter tire that is rated to faster than most Blasts can go. | ||

Do the Diablos need any special adjustments or do they fit first time? Some scooter tires -- I think it was the Avon's -- didn't quite fit right. | ||

Please, change your tires yourself! It is too easy not to, a coupl of tire irons and a cheap balancer and you are set to go. You don't have to remove the rear pully if you take the tire off from the brake side. | ||

Well - so far their wear is on par with the Avon, except the rear isn't getting as flat in the middle as the Avon's did. They hold air better than the Avons, they seem to be pretty sticky from the go, though they are terrific warmed up, I liked the Avons - I could really get leaning with them, the Pirelli though are even better. I still say both are really good tires, its just that the Pirelli instantly inspire trust, and you can actually get close to its edge - always thought the stock size didn't give you enough rubber - to me this tire proves it - lol EZ | ||
