I have a issue that just started this morning. I got the bike out started it to warm up like always and when I got on and let the clutch out it dies? It will restart immediately, but dies as soon you put the engine under load. After restarting a few times it backfired out of the carb. It will idle and throttle up fine until I let out the clutch. I just rode it yesterday about 30 miles.
Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Clutch Safety Switch - Man, are all of these failing at the same time?

Then I would jump the kickstand safety switch wires. They just need to be connected together.
As the above link, posted by Carcass reads, the neutral and kickstand safety switches will still function normally. Oftentimes bypassing at least one of the switches (like the clutch) will solve your problem, but you may not know which switch was really the problem.

Yours is classic of clutch, kickstand and neutral safety switch problems.

Got it back up and moving. It was the kickstand switch. I was worried it was going to be costly. Thanks for the very helpful and quick replies!

Right after I bought my Blast, seeing all the problems people were having with interlocks, I bypassed them all to avoid problems ; )
