Well I was going to post this up in the Knowledge Vault but don't know where to put it and the places I thought would be good to put it in I couldn't start a new thread. Oh well here ya go.

I recently bought a set of saddle bags for me and my girlfriend's Blast, THANKS Garlic Sauce!! (I say mine too cause I ride it more than she does.) Well they were pretty sun faded so I thought that i would let folks know what I did to rectify the problem.

Here is what they looked like when I received them.

I taped over the reflector with some duct tape and taped over the Pegasus with some clear tape.

Then I cut around the Pegasus with a Exacto Knife.

I ended up painting the saddle bags with some black Krylon Fabric paint. You can clearly see what a huge difference the paint does for them.

Here's what they look like when I finished painting.

And the final product.

All in all I think they can out pretty good. time will tell how they how up to the sun and weather. I figure for the 4 bucks I paid for the paint, I can deal with putting an annual coat of paint on them and not be too worried about it.

Saddle bags list $120 new from the dealer (check the Buell website). Last year I saw them new on ebay regularly for $103.
They fit very well (they are Blast specific) and will hold a surprising amount of weight, but I think the instructions say 7lbs max each side. I know I've doubled that (do so at your own risk).
The fade with prolonged sun exposure and I've crash tested mine and they've held up very well.

So now my question is....Damnut you posted this over a year ago. How well did the paint hold up? Mine are pretty faded too and I would like to do the same thing as you, only I am wondering if there is an alternative, such as fabric dye?
