With this shifter kit http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=6&CategoryID=7&Produ ctID=1316 I don't need to drill a hole in the primary cover right? All i'd have to do is make the plates and get some pegs? Thanks.

Yes, from what I understand it uses the existing primary cover bolts as mounting points.

Ok thanks bro, I didn't want to have to tap the primary. You made some rearsets didn't you? what linkage system did you use? thanks

I used the linkage off an old tuber, maybe an S1 or S3. Found it on ebay for cheap. It works OK, just not the prettiest way to do it.

So can I use the whole kit? meaning the linkage and shifter?

OK Thanks, that's awesome. I've been searching the rearsets archives for three days now and I have a good idea of what I want to do. I like the new X1 shifter kit because you don't have to drill and tap the primary. Thanks to EZ and Krjoseph for writing those "how to" guides. Best forum EVER! Without this site I would have never even tried making rearsets. Thanks
