I did about 100 miles over the weekend through the twisties. It was great. Not quite as quick as I was last year, but it was still a lot of fun. Today, I can barely walk with incredibly sore hips... damn. No riding today : )

Did you hear about the bank robbery in Ireland today?

In your best Irish baroak...

Two bank robbers walk into a bank guns drawn, screaming, everybody faces on the ground, don't look at us.

One of the robbers walks up to a guy on the ground and kicks him in the side and asks "did you look at my face?" as the man on the ground rolls up in a ball and looks at the robbers face the robber shoots him, BANG!

The robber walks a little farther and sees a man looking at him and walks up and yells "You looked at my face!" and shoots him, BANG!

Then the robber spies an old Irishman standing alone in a corner with his head hanging down, so he walks up to him and yells "Did you look at my face?"

The old Irishman, with his head hanging down says "No, but my wife laying over on the floor did"

Yea ranger, i might. The problem is distance. I'm not sure if she could get down there to get the bike. Let me talk to her and find out. You should put information in the classifieds section with pictures though.

Swamp - freakin hillarious.

All - I changed my oil for the first time on my own yesterday. I actually appear to have gotten it right on the first try. Anyone have any experience with Lucas Synthetic 20 - 50 motorcycle oil? The local shop here swears by it, so I figured I would give it a try. Plus the Colts play in Lucas Oil Stadium, so I thought, what the heck.

Lucas Synthetic is decent, but a far cry from Mobil 1 and Amsoil.

BUT!

I am still smiling!

As my brother said after his 7th divorce (he only married 6 women): "She got everything and it was worth it!"

The Sportster is still being held hostage along with the pickup and the tools.

But you know what?

Swampy,

The best advice I got through my divorce was:

Q. Why are divorces so expensive?

A. Because they're worth it.

Hang in there dude. You'll get though it. Sounds like you're doing fine so far.

Jetting Question

I have a 2006 Blast with a V&H exhaust. Is there some way to tell if the engine is jetted without taking the bike apart?

Thanks for your help!

Wardo,Im not that computer literate. Where are the classifieds? And I'll have to figure out the picture thing to, this is all new to me. Still not sure going turn it loose any way. I bought it as a first bike, put about 4200 miles on it going back and forth to work. Parked it with a slick rear tire in Dec. with 7980 on the od. Rode it through the neighborhood today runs great, great bike! I'll either re-tire it and ride again(High ho Black Betty) or retire (sell it),pay some bills, and buy some thing bigger.

If its not jetted then your air screw is probably 3 plus turns out from lite bottom, should be 2 3/4 max.

Ranger - Do what i did, get another bike and keep the blast in case you feel like tearing up some twisties, or even as a backup in case something happens to the new one.
