If anyone comes up with a procedure for duplicating that carb splitter I'm very interested.

The new ones won't - lol - I had to pre-assemble them just so I could put the right amount of torque on them - they've made them really tight and their grade is 8.8.

Quick Question

Why does the rear wheel have to be jacked up to change the primary fluid?

Thanks

The only thing u can try is get a piece 2 1/4 ID pipe an tighten the clamp on to stretch the band out. A little at a time so you don't stretch it to far keep check as you go.

It doesn't. It just has to be level. If you put jack stands on either side of your wheel with a shaft between, and it's still on the ground, you're good so long as it's level.

No the stack is to long to fit in the stock air box.

You could probably make a shorter one to fit in the stock air box.

But you could clamp on a custom stack filter - filters out to .025 - or clamp on a pro-series filter, or any of several K&N universals.

No I'm still looking over possibilities on that, though Pypes Performance Exhaust does have a wide single clamp the right size - just barely, but I'm going to order it and find out.

WOW! EZ, I just got that new clamp this thing is heavy duty for shore your not stretching this thing lol and it's only 1 1/4 wide to small!

Have to go back to cutting up the wide ones i didn't use Pypes clamp on the one i did it was an EasySeal an if you need to adjust you can stretch them if need be.

I got the HVC25 way to heavy the band's to thick. The hardware to big too.
When i cut wide band one up i use smaller stainless allenhead bolt alot lighter setup.
I think the thiner band going to give u more even pressure around das boot then the thicker band to rigid.

Is there a way to identify the currently installed jets in your carb? Are they labeled in any way?
