Ok. So I am getting sick of waiting on my superbike bars to get here. Still on backorder, and I ordered them 2 weeks ago now. The local bike shop has a set of Bike Master Clubman bars. What's the general consensus on these? Anyone absolutely hate them? Also, has anyone tried these grips out?
http://www.Motorcycle-Superstore.com/1/4/68/16201/ ITEM/Sunline-Grand-Touring-Grips.aspx

I ride about 50 miles a day in my daily commute, and plan to keep riding until it snows. I know that the Buell Traction grips seem to get some good reviews here as well, but they just didn't seem like they would be super comfy. Thoughts?

Ergonomically, I think those look very similar to the traction grips.

I like the traction grips a little bit better. They come to more of a point in the middle of the palm and fill in the space perfectly for my hand. The others are fatter throughout grip and will be more flat on the palm. My 2cents (probably not even worth that)

It just comes down to the ergonomics of your hand really.

First mods i want to do and need some advise and guidance. I would like to get bar end mirrors asap, and would love to get some parts for a different intake. Stock is kind of blah. I found different bar end mirrors on ebay, but am not sure of quality or whatever. Whats a good price to pay. Intake is the hard part. I have no idea where to look or what to look for. Can anybody throw me a bone?

Check the carb section for intakes, and the handle bars, etc. section for the section in mirrors - your choices are infinite and only consideration is your wallet.

The ones i found at Americansportbike.com would total out to be like 160 bucks. Is that a good price? http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5570.html
i would need both mirrors plus the adapters

I just grabbed some cheapie 3rd eye mirrors from the cycle shop as per EZ's suggestion. They work great.

WHOA, cheap. I love you. In a non creepy psycho internet stalker kind of way. These will just slide right into the bars right? no adapter needed?

Yes. I put a bit of "Gorilla Glue" on the edges. Work fine. Plus when you dump, or if you dump, they are cheap to replace. I can't take all the credit, EZ pointed them out to me.

Well, thank you both then for saving me a fortune. Ordering them now. Any opinion on alternative intake? The giant black box is not very appealing. Doesnt have to be too fancy, i just wanna take that box out. love that look.

I, and many others use a ProSeries intake. They are however no longer in production, and getting very hard to find/expensive (Close to $200 to $350) on Ebay. If you do the GoogleBadweb up at the top, or scour the KV under intake, EZ has a pretty decent looking stock box mod that works very well. There are many not too expensive options out there. I would suggest that you stop by your local dealer and pick up a couple of the intake manifolds (das boots), and keep one under your seat with a small screwdriver.

I will have to stop by the dealer and see what they have. Im a complete newb though and may have trouble. Are there any "buy online" intake kits or something?

Spend a few days checking out the boards, and don't sweat it. Defintely order a service manual for your bike while you are at the dealer, or check ebay.

If you have a Dremel and $20 and a nearby Advance Auto (or similar) you can have the same intake I have.

Wow! This is post #666 for me!

I recorded video of the whole thing. I should find it and get a clip on YouTube, huh? It's a 4 inch filter that's on the aftermarket air cleaner shelf. It definitely improved air flow when I put it on.

Let me get back to you.

Yea, i love that intake. The seat looks nice too. Im thinking of tearing my up during winter and adding some of that memory foam junk. Should make it nice and smushy. : ) who makes that windshield?

Givi makes the windshield. There are pictures scattered about the Thumper forum of others who got the same windshield. I think it's the A750 or something.
