i have a 2001 blast with 7041 miles on it and when i stop at stop sign or whatever the bike revs real high at idle. if i shut it off and turn it back on its fine for a little while but if i roll the throttle a little it will do it again. any help would be appreciated. thanks

You probably have a bad carb boot.

Do the boot - its easy and there are instructions here and at my group which you can find through my home page - link located in my profile - this is too easy a thing to leave to the hands of a bored mechanic who could goof it up.

First try tightening the claps gently - they could be just loose - if results are the same afterward, I'm sorry you'll have to park her till parts arrive - but if you contact one of our sponsors - they could have the part to you with in a few days.

Instructions are in the files section of the group linked to my site.
