I really appreciate you taking the time!

I'm running stock piston/head with a stepped header similar to a Force. American Sport Bike velocity stack on the intake.

XB9 piston/head is on the to-do list.

ok wow I was doing things totally wrong... I realized that I was retarding the exhaust cam and advancing the intake cam. so I redid the calcs real quick and here are the results:

so then I redid the calcs advanceing the intake and retarding the exhaust.. which changes the lobe seperation

these were al done with the stock bore size but 10.5:1 compression and using the flow numbers I have for my stage 2 lite head from nrhs. exhaust is 1.75 ID and 38" long for all.

This is weird, because what it's showing isn't what my butt-dyno says.

Hmm...

I really need dyno time.

Impressive with your 'research'. Did you go with the offset keys?
Unfortunately the 'butt dyno' is subjective and it wont always agree with what a real dyno indicates either!

Sorry for the late response, Erik.

I didn't go with the offset key. I just retarded both cams by one notch on the pinion.

I have another cam on its way, that should retard just the exhaust by about 2º. I'll see how that feels while keeping the intake cam stock.

I know the butt dyno isn't a great way to measure power output, but I don't have the $60 to drop at Dynge's every other day, yet, lol. After the new year.

Crap, I still need to go get it dyno-tuned before my gift certificate expires on the 31st! Maybe I'll do that in the next week or so with the stock cam timing.

I got that 4E cam installed. I should've taken a picture. It was kinda iffy at first, cause it is marked for the rear cylinder, not the front, so I had to really pay attention to lobe position when installing it. I got it right though.

Dunno if I'm happy with the results though. RB is running kinda sub-par since the temps dropped so it's hard to compare.
