Howdy folks!

Hey I got a pair of Racetech fork springs for older tuber X1/M2/S3 Buells...part # FRSP S3627 90 .9kg springs. Will these fit the Blast? I'd think not but the experts are about...you concur, EZ? : D

Sorry no - they will not work - wrong size is my suspicion. You could pull your stock spring and check though - its easy enough to do.
The works spring kit has two springs and where the stock sits about a 1/8 inch above the tube, the Works kit stands a bit over an inch over the tube, however, is still easily compressable for installation and really complements their shock. Also you ride just a bit higher as well - about XB height in fact - so the Force no longer has to fear being dragged - lol
I may still purchase a reworked Seca II shock from Ralph for the red bike - especially since I already have works springs and a spacer on a new stock shock installed - a stiffer ride, but better?

Stifler? Is that you?

Fricken Fall in Michigan, all the inbreds in the hood are burning leaves, and I can't breath because all the smoke cools and comes down into the swamp. Pisses me off and its gonna make me resort to something bad! Not only that but the burning leaves signal the end of riding season in Michigan, and I just don't know if I am going to make it through another winter. Geesh! and it's not even cold yet!
Jugallo94, remember how cold it was in May, during the ride to meet the Daves trip? It was cold riding home after the Blackbelt bonfire in June?

For years I thought this was the best place on the planet, with the changing seasons but after seeing the south land I just don't know anymore. I know that the reason I never traveled as a child is because I would have left and never come back to grow roots and settle down in this place. Granted, I never would have found my wife, and had the three children that I have, but now, I just don't know. I have yet to suffer through a south land summer, but I think that all the happy people and the 12 months of riding, would more than make up for the heat.

Be careful of the decisions you make!

Then to top it off I get an "Emergency" e-mail on Saturday afternoon from my supervisor, concerning the Bureau "Reorganization" He wants to meet with our section to help reach "Synergy" about proposals that should be forwarded to management reguarding our work units placement within the bureau. Of course, its a non-event, because he can't work with the old manager, and wants to make sure our units placement is not under the old managers control! And of course its nothing more than spitting into the wind as none of the suggestions will make it past the division administrator, as she hates my supervisors presence!
Apparently, I am stuck in the office again when I should be on my way to the UP!

LOL!

Now I will hideout all day, take a 2 hour lunch, sneak out early, then go home and pack for the trip.

Jokes on them!

I am spending the night in Lake Linden in the Kewenaw Pennsula, which is really an island, douring the mining days the harbors were connected to create a river, it separates houghton and Hancock. There is a lift bridge between the two towns. I have driven across the lift bridge in the winter time on my snowmobile to go up to Copper Harbor. There are still boats out even thought the weather is supposed to turn sour, like in the low thirties and 7" of snow.

Swampy, yeah I remember the temps. In fact I rode into work monday. It was 40 degrees when I left in the morning. Reminded me of that trip to the UP. We have a snow advisory thursday around here also. I was supposed to head up to Cadillac this weekend but since they are calling for low 30's and sleet I may not endup going. Have fun in the UP

Beautiful picture. My wife and I have been riding around a local reservoir the past week to enjoy the color change. I bet you'd miss the season changes like that in the picture you shared if you lived too far South.

OK - heres what happened - Scott and I chaised in a car by my fiance Illiena and Kublia where cruising up the coast - passed Moss Beach around 9:45 - got to Cambria just as it started to rain - no big deal, however, at the gas station Scott pulls up past my bike to get under cover and notices that the bearing cover is off and we figure 3 bearings already gone - so ends my trip to Buellton and a fun weekend - instead I will be out $300 bucks for towing, and around 100 to 250 to fix the rear bearing -depending and I'll have to go back saturday to pick it up! I'm not mad at the bike, however, I did have Dudley Perkins of SF do this job, a job which at first mistakenly thought not needing doing, almost resulting in injury to me, rectified by actually fixing the problem, however, it seems the work must have been subpar? - failing with less than 5000 miles on the bearing - while all the rest are humming along with over 15,000 per the red bike. How long should a bearing be expected to last if installed by a 'pro' - both Scott and Illiena think I should seek recourse due to shoddy work jepordizing my life. I'm just ticked that I missed an event that would have been fun! The only bright side to this is that the people at Fresno HD/Buell seem pretty bright and willing to do the job right - and since I don't have the machines/tools to do it right - especially on the road - my alternatives where very limited and though my chaiser carried a large number of tools on my behalf, still nothing to fix that type of problem.

So what do you guys think - should I seek recourse for shoddy work, or just thank goodness I wasn't killed and get on with life?

Really curious - what would you do?

If you are referring to WHEEL BEARING, these sealed bearings should be filled with grease when you buy new ones yourself ...

The WHEEL BEARINGS can be "ReGREASED" while on the motorcycle ...

In BLASTing

EZ,
Tell me when, I'll be there with my baseball bat!

Tigers are in the World Series!

Burden of proof would be on you to show that the bearing only had 5000 miles on it, and that the bearing life expectancy is @@@@@ miles, and that they somehow installed it incorrectly leading to the total failure.
I think it would be a pretty hard thing to accomplish especially since some of these wheel bearings have crapped out at much lower mileages.

Either way, I'm glad you made it OK.

What would I do????

Buy the bearing remover and installer and do it myself.
