Get a better Blast battery. They use the Blast battery in twins. You can search for the same Blast battery, but a better quality and with more CCA’s. You shouldn’t have an issue using a Blast battery. Check your cables too. |

Battery is charged and good, I cleaned all the ground connections, still had starting issues. I added another ground and everything seems good now. Thanks for your help! |

Has anyone figured out how to put a x1 tach on a Blast? |

A tach is generally simple to connect, but it reads differently because it’s made for a twin. You can a) convert to a twin ignition and the extra spark will fire at a moment that won’t make a difference. b) install a ‘pulse doubling device’. I don’t remember the exact name, but they do or did exist at one time. There is probably another way, but I only remember coming up with the 2. I have an X1 tach but never hooked it up. I completely forgot that when I went to a twin “wasted spark” ignition that the tach would’ve bolted right on!! (Thanks for reminding me) There’s at least one person out there that makes aluminum housing brackets for Buells, which might come in handy. They were on Facebook. I think my Nemesis “Buellistic” had an X1 or other twin tach on his. He’s been deceased for a few years now and I doubt the information on how he hooked it up is on Badweb. He really wanted you to beg him for information and then he would privately send it too you. You could also check out “Buell Riders Online” (BRO). I’m sure someone there has done it. |

I have a SE ignition that you can set to a2cyl mode. can I get away with just cutting another slot in the timing cup and is my coil going to handle the extra spark? |

Should I put a sportster coil on the blast? |

There’s no reason to change coils. |
