I'm contemplating upgrading my CV40 on my cyclone to a mikuni. That would give me a nice spare CV40 with an accel pump to throw on the blast. Yes I'm happy to be rid of the auto enrichener.

I'm not sure of the diameter of the blast carb. Will the blast motor flow enough air to atomize full from a jetted down CV40 or is 40 simply too big?

Same size as is on a current Blast - just rejet to 45/175 (if you have a non stock exhaust, otherwise 45/170).

Yup, The Blast has a CV40, you can put a accel pump on the stock Blast carb with some tweaking. Remember, without changing the igniton on the Blast to a VOES style and installing a VOES, you must run the TPS on the carb or figure out how to install the TPS on the Pumper carb.

BTW, I've not installed an Accel pump on the Blast carb, but having them both next to each-other on the bench, it doesn't look that hard.

Get the aftermarket metal rebuild kit as well for the acell pump, and not have to worry about it down the line.

Saw a great Blast that one of the sales folks at Buell of Bloomington Indiana had. I believe he said it dynoed out to about 45 hp. Pretty solid. Had an aftermarket carb with accel pump and choke. Seamed to run great. Super Torquey.

I've got an edelbrock off a honda 450 quad on my blast. no choke at all. it has an external needle adjustment that makes it awesome for my 3500 ft elevation with 60 degree temp. swings. it has an accel. pump so 2 full twists and it fires right up cold.
